    ZO Analysis

DN, Haven't seen you on here before. Enjoyed reading your papers on slalom theroy a few years ago. Any more thoughts or conclusions on slalom theory since then. I probably should have started a new thread here?
  2. Panties, you didn't touch them did ya?
  3. Yea I Know Horton, I would be in a tie for 1st with the Krista, but forgot to enter. LKB throws a great tourney had a great time. Had an out of body experience running a nice 35 in a downpour, was laughing like a maniac when we sat down to shorten to 38. Thanks again for the hospitality LKB!!!!
  4. Got to demo a 67 inch co-x sl last week. Hard ski to describe, like Horton said it gets awesome angle with no effort, but turns got unpredictibly grabby @35 for me using Horton's #s. Maybe that could be adjusted for,but didn't have enough time to try messing with other settings. Turns kind of reminded me of my old Phantom.
  5. Horton, what's the recomended binding placement? where did you have yours? Didn't have those #s in your review.
  6. Radar Skis and local boat dealer The Boat Works had a demo day /clinic with Chris Rossi at the site I ski. Chris brought several Stradas with him and dealer had a trailer full of equiptment also. Chris was great to ski with, he has a ton of positive energy and a great eye for coaching. After reading all the great stuff R.D.,MS,and the rest have said, I finally got to ride the Strada, by the third pass I felt like I'd been on the ski all summer, very solid and stable ski seems like the more patient I was the more space it created, nice ski!! Thanks again Radar!
  7. Horton, what fin numbers are you running now on your CO-X?
  8. For me it's been mostly gates longer lengths really nice, but 38 not so nice (55k). JTH, why did you switch skis? Sounded like you were ripping it on the strada55.*
  9. Jody, hate to hijack this thread further but....what size display do you use on your ZO conversions on the 2002 boats?
  10. Chris R.,Eddie,or Richard, would like to demo a strada, what size would you recommend. I'M 185LBS 6'1" Average 2@38 @34mph. Ski on a 67.25 Goode 9800 currently. Also, same question regarding "strada 55. Thanks.
  11. Unfortunately that's how it is with ZO. You will get used to it ,but you'll probably feel the difference when you switch between the two systems. Seems like ZO makes me work harder, but I usually ski the same number of bouys in practice on either system. I use C3 .
  12. Had a HEAVY crew in a Malibu this year at a tournament and it had a pretty large bump at 28. So they may be a little weight sensitive.
  13. I know what you mean Clemsondave, I made a cheater loop for 38 that was fifteen inches long(half length of 35) ran the pass two out of three times like it was 35. Shortened to 38= samme old story; 2 or 3 . Hard to believe fifteen inches could make that much difference.
  14. Going to Panama City Beach from 7/23 thru 7/29. Would like to get some slalom sets in if anyone's available. I have gas money!!!
  15. I heard a good one at a tourny this weekend; "Often wrong, but seldom in doubt"
  16. All these differences in pulls is rediculous. It 's hard enough to ski in tournaments without all this . They {AWSA} have essentialy made every non drive by wire boat obsolete by allowing this half baked technology to be approved for use. Not looking forward to tournaments this year for sure!
  17. Hey shortline 34mph guys, been stuck @ 38 off for a long time. How do you get an early edge change into 1 ball without dumping to a hard inside edge and following boat straight down the lake?
