  1. @lpskier, thanks for the info.
  2. @lpskier ,are reservations required? Thinking about trying to get some sets in myself.
  3. Is Lapoint Ski Park an 8 bouy course? How are the setups?
  4. Has anyone tried the O'neill hyperfreak spring suit? Looks like is's a shorty dry suit, not sure if the zipper would be uncomfortable though.
  5. @Ed_Johnson @Wish what are the water temps currently in Orlando ?
  6. If your skiing, what is your water temp? Curious because I have friends in Orlando and Miami, Fl. that are telling me it's been a cooler than normal winter. Saw @Wish posted a picture today wearing shorts and heater top, I think he's in Orlando, would have thought it was a little too cold down there for that?
  7. Are you guys using the 2.0 blacktech or the thicker 3/2 ?
  8. @Horton, Unfortunately not exaggerating MY experience with the Powervest. It's been a while since I used it, but I remember having the straps too short initially, and could barely get out of the water without going out the front. I agree with @Milford, people that haven't had a major injury don't understand the worry of re-injury and another long rehab. I still think it's a good way to ease yourself back into things, just take it easy until you figure it out. And, no I don't type like that, this is the only site my phone (android) does that on. Guess I need some tech support on phone settings.
  9. @Horton, I Got A Powervest After My Shoulder Surgery. It Sortta Helps With The Aprehension After AN Injury, Def Takees A Lot Of The Load Off, But Also Takes Some Experimenting With Arm Strap Length. You WON'T Like Skiing With It But It Will Help NurseYour Confidence Back. If You get One Def Heat Mold The Rigid Back Panel And Remove Dowels From Gloves. I Was Able To Ski O.k. With Mine, But Stopped Using After My Strength, Form, And Confidence Came Back. I Say Go For it.
  10. Off topic but.....The Nautique owner says the boat stickered for 103,000+.....WOW!!!!!
  11. Possibly going to be in Orlando the weekend of October 17/18, anyone available for a pull ?
  12. What an awesome tribute by another icon of the sport! Thanks @usaski1 for posting, and thank you Kristy! Prayers to the Mapple family.
  13. @swc5150 you have to consider the source, Eric drills holes in the bottom of his boat.
  14. I can see why @Horton is all torqued up, his last paragraph...." it drives my nuts" that must be painful.

    Free Water

@A_B feel your pain, went from drought conditions to the highest July water level I've ever seen. Add in the persistent wind and a water temp drop from 90 to 78....been a strange summer so far.
  16. @Booze , what ski are you trying?
  17. Start at your normal setting, you can adjust during your turn if you don't like the feel.
  18. That's a bummer @Horton, if it's the upper attatchment and they do a tenidosis(sp?) really not that big a deal. If thats all they do when their in there, you'll be back in the fall. Good luck!
  19. @Horton , The Power Vest might be a smart move, I bought and used one after shoulder surgery, it got me back on the water but it has a learning curve of it's own. I reccomend you heat mold the the plastic panel in the back, makes it feel/fit much better. Good luck !
  20. After Reading @Horton Review Of The Helix2, I'm Pretty Sure It Wouldn't Suit My Style, I Def See value In John's Reviews. Keep Them Coming Please.
