  1. @klundell thanks for the explanation, think I understand what your saying. What are you doing different to accomplish this? Sounds like maybe skiing a line that seems narrow but isn't?
  2. @klundel I usually grasp technique talk pretty well, but I really don't understand what your saying (more pre turn inside buoy line). Really interested in this topic, because most days I can run back to back 35's but never get past 3 @38. I don't feel any rythum @38, feels like alot of starting and stopping with no flow.
  3. Congratulations, I'm envious, I've been beating my head against that pass for years!!!!!
  4. Horton, I think you'll find you can run that 36.5 loop as easy as 35. That's been my experience, but it did nothing to help my 38's.
  5. nano, heard it broke between the bindings
  6. Guess that means the nano's a keeper, please share! If it was a 65 I'd be interested.
  7. Ed, Did you mount the ventrals on a SPEED slot fin or a regular slot fin? Thanks for posting your impressions of the ventrals.
  8. ED, did you mount the VW to the slot fin or a Goode fin?
  9. Ditto on the shoulder Marco
  10. I'm sure that when it becomes the "Power Wing" it will cost twice what Chet was charging

    Powervest

Steven, Yeah I'm comming off shoulder surgery and thought the PV might be a good way to ease back into skiing this spring. Does the vest hinder your reach, or is that what the slide is for?
  15. Anyone have experience with the Goode powervest? If so, what were your likes /dislikes and what model do you have? Looks like they have 3 different models now; the original vest, the slider vest, and the elite slide that has a shorter back board and no waist belt. Thanks,AcmxÂ
  16. Dawg, I cracked up when I read your mirror description, when I first got out of the sling my arm hung straight down with no gap between my body; looked very wierd. I'm a little over 7 weeks from surgery, working on assisted range of motion and starting to add therapy bands for strength. Arm straight overhead has been the most difficult ROM for me but is slowly getting there. It's unbelievable how much strength I lost in just 4 weeks in the sling. At least i can get dressed without any issues including SHOES!
  17. Marco, I was in the sling 4 weeks and started passive pt 4 days after surgery, 1 time/week. I'm kinda surprised your Doc. wants your arm to rest that long, I'd think that baby will be as stiff as your ski in 6 weeks. During last weeks PT visit (#4), he took my arm past 90 degrees and it took some effort and caused the most PT pain so far! Shoulda took a pain pill before that visit.
  18. Dawg and Marco, Sorry to hear about your rough trip so far. I had a little more damage in my shoulder (cartilage missing) than the labrum slap tear and bankart tear found on the MRI initially showed. But am now a few days away from getting out of the sling YEAH!!! So far my rehab has been pretty easy except for this week, PT was going for a little more range of motion as prescribed by Ortho Doc's protocol; OOOUCH!!! Dawg, didn't they send you home from surgery with the support hose from the knee down? Anyway, hang in there guys it gets better!
  19. i learned to re-string a handle by taking one apart, really not that difficult
  20. lkb, no winter skiing for me, esapecially this year; just had shoulder surgery.
  21. lkb, like i said when I was there, I can't believe your lake doesn't look like chocoloate milk. Are you guys skiing as much? Maybe less boat traffic is causing it to get so clear. If it stays that way I'm sure you could dye it and not affect the way it skis. Hope your water doesn't change cause your place skis great!
  22. Wow, guess I'm not alone. Had a slap tear and bankart repair with microfracture repair to left shoulder 1 week ago myself. Didn't think I'd feel as good as I do after only 7 days. Not sure if I will be as excited to ski next year due to fear of re-injury, only time and alot of PT will tell.
  23. I wonder how much variance in flex is considered normal between the same model ski from manufacturer to manufacturer?
  24. is this really all there is to talk about? welcome to geeksville!
  25. Eric, whats the theory behind the shape of the tail on your "leeski"?
