  1. I remember that place on the market like 2012-2014 time frame I think. Had a sweet house with a 6 or 8 car garage. But wasn't it two owners, divided across the middle of the lake? One owned one end of the lake. The other owned the opposite end of the lake. Probably made for an interesting sharing arrangement.

  2. I tore my rhomboid in 2008 in exactly the circle you show above. I'll be honest with you, it's one of the worst injuries I've had because it keeps coming back. An airrosti chiropractor deals with mine. But any good massage therapist can assist. Also, cupping is one of the best things for mine when it flares up. You can put the cup on top of the spot and let it sit for 10minutes or so. Or you can put some oil on your bike and slide the cup over. It lifts the muscle and skin and brings the blood which pools in the injury to the surface. Cupping has been a life saver the last 2 years.
  3. @Horton you just made me go back through my messages from Matt just to see all the stuff he told me over the years. I think this was my favorite from 2014. Name withheld to protect the guilty. LOL

"Aint nobody getting to 4 ball with a xxxx xxxx boat path."

XXXX XXXX is a famous driver's name. That makes me laugh still to this day.

  4. I once had a coach ask me where I should be getting into position. I said when I'm getting ready to pull out. He then threw a wet glove at my head and said "No, you dumba$$. You just gave up 300' of practice. I want you getting into position tall over the ski, your hips squared, and your arms low and long as soon as the ski planes off after the pullup. Then if you dick it up in the course, I want you back in that exact same position when you come out of the gate, all the way til you sit down. Sooner or later, that 300' at the beginning and that 300' at the end starts to be reflected in your muscle memory. "
  5. This is why I was never that good of a judge. I'm half blind, half drunk, and only on a good day can get to 6. Usually, I run out of fingers getting to 4. But I tell good stories and could ray charles my way through a semi straight boat path so people always tolerated me.
  6. Wow that is a tough one. In real time I'd have scored it a zero I think. Because I for sure thought the ski went in front of the buoy at first. It's only after watching it in slow that I see the red smear by the front binding. But the buoy isn't moving inside, it's going down. So I'd have still called it a zero.
  7. There are a couple of Lakes of Katy homeowners(or past homeowners) in here that will chime in. August Lakes is more of a wakeboard/surf type of setup with much deeper lakes and no slalom courses.

I don't live there but I ran a sports venue 5 minutes from LOK for 5 years so I know a good bit about the area. It is a very nice area to live in. It's still an old town feel alongside new town amenities. And it's one of the fastest growing areas in the country. 15 years ago, some of these roads were little 2 lane country roads and now there are big 4 lane thoroughfares with shops and business lining them. Schools are good. From LOK to the mall is less than 10 minutes. Tons of shopping and restaurants within 15 minutes. Big waterpark 10 minutes away. You can be at the airport in less than 45 minutes by hitting Grand Parkway. Houston downtown is 30 minutes away on an evening or weekend. Unless there's a car accident and then its 2 hours. lol. From a corporate perspective, there is a big energy company presence, as well as health care presence in the area.

  8. @rfa Sorry I wasn't clear and I modified it. This is an interesting situation because of the fact that you're talking about a program that generates recurring revenue. My company does a billion $ in recurring renewal revenue a year so we go through this. What you find in that is that your costs to service the customer, in tis case us to manage tournaments/scores/nationals, is very close to the same whether you're talking about 2000 or 10000 users. It's not a 5x difference in resources and cost. So if there is a net loss of 30% of renewals over this, it can cause a significant shortfall because your costs don't necessarily drop 30%. That's the gotcha here.
  9. @buechsr I respectively disagree. Membership renewal #s are dependent on communication in this instance. Therefore maintaining membership renewals during this change in requirements/procedures is dependent on their communications/marketing plan reaching the members and being understood. If your communications/marketing plan doesn't hit the mark, it's not the person you're attempting to contact's fault. It's yours for devising a communications/marketing plan, which effects a revenue generating program, that is misaligned with your customer base. That doesn't change whether you are a Billion $ corporation or a $100k a year mom and pop business or a not for profit.
