  1. Just switched to one and I like it. No cramping. It does not hold your ankle in as much of a forced "forward" position as a more traditional highwrap binding like the old Leverage, it really allows the ankle to stand straight up naturally which is a change for anyone used to having their ankle bend more forced. This affected my onside turn negatively until I corrected my technique. I love the quality and comfort of this binding, great item.
  2. I don't know about the paracord idea. I'd want something strong enough to block an arm or head from going through but if an arm does go through I want it to break. I don't want to literally create another snare.
  3. Awesome story Brian, thanks for sharing.
  4. I’m a diehard Nautique guy but MC gets my money on the next boat. Nautique decided to make the ugliest boat I’ve ever seen and MC went the opposite direction. I really like that boat!
  5. IIRC in 2001 the RLX got a new dashboard which was a nice improvement. That price seems way high. Malibu Cruise I think just holds a set speed via RPM, pretty basic vs PP. in general I really like that boat/hull. Malibus during that time period had a very leaky box of water essentially over the prop shaft in the hull that was problematic called the hydrophonic dampening system or HDS. Make sure that’s not leaking. Lots more info on theMalibucrew.com so check that site out.
  6. @coach3 5.3DI is an awesome engine. The only thing that will make it feel even remotely slower is a 6.2DI. IMO the 5.3 is even significantly snappier and faster than the 6.0. DI makes a big difference, modern technology.
  7. We have the 6.2DI in our club TXI this year and it’s bonkers. Definitely a difference from my 5.3, that entire liter (almost) of displacement more is no joke! Feels great to ski behind and on our short setup it’s a difference maker. In all these years we have never had a boat settled in at speed so far before the greens.
  8. OP you may want to check out the forum in Correctcraftfan.com. That has to be one of the most knowledgeable groups of people out there with regard to fiberglass ski boat restoration particularly with stringers. Dozens of restoration projects there and the right people to ask for sure. If BOS became the go-to Brendella site there’s a part of me that would find that pretty funny.
  9. We bought a current-year promo boat in 2016 as a "once in a lifetime YOLO" thing, so I get it. Only like 168hr on our 200 so far, we got it with 67 hours.
  10. The saddest thing in this sport would be somebody with a nice boat, water, a course, and nobody to drive the boat. You take the good with the bad and be generally appreciative of anyone who shows up to pull you.
  11. Flip MinoHD used on eBay. Perfect default zoom level and dirt cheap
  12. Do note that for the 6L and 5.3DI and 6.2DI the new PCM oil recommendation is 5W30 Dexos2, which is basically any bulk 5W30 synthetic. Oreillys 5W30 synthetic, Amazon 5W30 synthetic, etc. makes things way easier for those engines.
  13. I heard a rumor that Okee is out this year. What's next? Does another site pick up the challenge?
  14. This post deserves a Panda, I'm sorry. I'm translating this as "so bored I'm reverting back to practicing tricks as a total novelty that can only be done by folks afforded a life of private water access, privilege, and coaching as a bit of variety from repetitive extremely high-end competition slalom which is also afforded by a life of nearly impossible water ski access and privilege". Come on, Horton. Give yourself the Panda :p
  15. The link is just missing a colon after HTTPS
  16. You know, initially during this I thought that craft beer would be generally a good thing as far as being a "hey at least one thing is great every day, BEER!" during this crisis. So the first 7 weeks have been heavy-ish. Now I'm going the other way. There's no better time than now to cut back. No bars, no restaurants, no parties, no bowling league, etc. No excuses. Sick and tired of feeling tired an anxious and sleeping like crap. Doing a little scientific reading of the effects of alcohol on the body and mind and it's staggering data.
  17. Truer words have not been spoken in this sport. Great job guys, anyone who listens to this advice (and tunes out everything else they hear) is sure to improve this summer, myself included. What’s interesting and also problematic about this sport is that it’s so fun to do that even with terrible form you can ski through -28 and have a blast doing it. That’s how folks like me ski for 15yrs with poor fundamentals, not realizing that is what’s holding them back and that it could be so much easier. Bent arms really starts to catch up with you at -32 in my personal experience. Hoping to really “feel this” this season. I think Trent said this but other than your gate glide the next opportunity to achieve this alignment is out of 1 and that requires closing your gap to the handle with your hips, not your free hand, out of the turn. That was a light bulb for me last fall.
  18. The plug is conveniently right under the dash on my 16 SN. Was a really pleasant surprise to find there.
  19. There is a reason that the airbag in a car is not a giant plastic rectangle.
  20. Neither, spend the 130 on a soft bag that will frustrate TSA agents less, be more versitile, and absorb more energy.
  21. I love hearing these guys talk. Really great job guys, keep it coming.
  22. I’m sorry does TW have the virus? Otherwise the title might be a little strong amid the current climate. Sweet video of course.
  23. Seriously if anyone has a 68 ARC-S laying around I'll take it.
  24. @Mortyski what lines and speed are you running?
