  1. This may not hold true for everyone, but it’s similar to @thagermethod. I found that every starting line length that I dropped increased the buoy count on my toughest, unrunnable pass. At least up to starting at 28.
  2. Kinda off subject, but fuel flow can yield odd results. I was driving a 200 for Regionals practice a few years ago. Ran great until I got a 36 mph skier. Felt a little weak.. After that skier, back to 34 everything was fine, Next 36 weaker still. Replaced the in-line filter and all was well.
  3. There are many levels of stainless, they can still claim to be"stainless"
  4. I think Freddie K. uses a sky diving helmet. I saw a guy slalom with a helmet that was rather small in head coverage.
  5. Farmer walk. There should be a minimum load on you with jumpers and correct boat acceleration. What @lpskiersaid.
  6. Been down since Saturday at least. Received an email yesterday and today from usaws telling me it's down, working on it.
  7. What's the harm in trying? Easy off, easy back on. 30/15 most likely it would advantageous.
  8. Front holes are pretty much universal. Rear, not so much.
  9. @T-fromTO certainly it's sad anytime someone gets scammed. Also makes you angry. No offense to your acquantance, but I find it hard believe that anyone would send money in a deal like that. I guess I'm just too jaded and distrustful. Is it the responsibility of Boat Trader to vet ads placed with them? Maybe.
  10. What 2 points are you guys measuring the spread?
  11. But, she didn't MOP. That's worth a lot.
  12. You're right, no binding is totally safe. I've been on T-Factors for 10-12 years. Always came out in bad falls --- until last Sept. Front foot came out rear came out partially. Suffered a Lizfranc fracture. On crutches for 10 weeks. So no, there are no such things as totally safe bindings.
  13. @BKistler it's obvious that is the Greater Miami Ski Club. The big cross lake is at the end of NW 13th Terrace.
  14. Do any of you agree with @The_MSthat the sticky is caused by bird pee/poop? I think that it's just material breakdown from the sun. But why not all of them? Not all 10 of mine got sticky.
  15. @skierjp "like watching paint dry". Wow, I guess I'm a pretty dull person. Im the kinda guy who stays all day at a local tourney. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Nationals webcast. I know enough people, in various divisions, that I spent a good deal of time watching. I didn't necessarily watch live (so not needing to know a strict schedule) but was able to see who I wanted to see, and divisions i wanted to see. A couple of beginners (in their 50's) at our lake were inspired by watching skiers of their own age range as opposed to watching pros. No real input to the solution, just my experience. Disappointed that it won't the webcast.

2000 hours comes out to be about 66 hours per year. I ski 2-3 times a week and our season is slightly less than 6 months. I don't average that many hours a year and hardly consider my boat a "garage queen". Private lake doesn't rack up a lot of hours.
  17. I've noticed her on other videos, rather unusual handle rotation on 1,3,5.
  18. Torque sequence. Failing any other source of info, start at inner most bolt and proceed in a semi circular pattern outward.
  19. Work on your handle control skills. That's key to 32 and under. That's why I failed so miserably at going to 32. My skiing began its downward spiral when i went to 32. If you don't feel that you have to, DON'T do it.
  20. Same for me, @MDB1056I never tighten the bottom laces as they're pretty tight on my feet in that area already. Leaves the top of my foot looking like a waffle.
  21. I was aware of the activity, but had no idea it was sanctioned by any organization and thus unaware of records, rules, rope lengths or speeds. Can anyone shed light on these tbings? Edit: I did find that IWWF lists "Cableski" as a discipline, however I could find no further info other than one sanctioned event in Sept in Germany. Couldn't find any reference to rules.
  22. Speaking specifically of KY, we are down to only 3 tournaments per year all sponsored by 1 club. A few years back we had 8 over 3-4 sites. This year our state championship had 16 entrants compared to 50+ during our heyday. So, in this area, falling.
  23. Since "S" has been around for over 2 years, I can't believe they would ship out a down level system.
  24. @2ValveI bet you get few on the dwell meter.
