  1. The chart posted by @Hockdog which was originally published by @scoke (I think) may not be perfectly scaled, but it accurately depicts what happens. If it were perfect each arc would occupy the exact same area, just shaped differently. This is required in order to achieve the set speed. What @Mastercrafter said has to be correct. If there is more area in the arc there is more speed. If not, I'd be truly surprised.
  2. Prices are pretty much based on how badly someone wants to sell more so than how badly someone wants to buy. I have an '08 196 with less than 700 hours, really well kept and serves me quite sufficiently. If someone came along and offered me 50k I'd turn him down. What else could I get for 50k that would suit as well?
  3. I would say if using the word "where" it means where the skier is in relation to cross course, not down. Then it kinda means the same as "when". (If that ain't confusing enough)
  4. Wow, I wish they had an announcer. Seth is on the Mike now.
  5. 5.7 200's are pretty soft.
  6. Cool to see inside the factory.
  7. What's the format? Edit: Found it in @darinmontgomery post. But still a question. How advance to head to head?
  8. Apparently you didn't add the red wire. How long have you had the boat? Two years maybe since you know the age of the battery. How long has this problem been occurring? If recently, just spring for a new battery.
  9. PM baller @Ilivetoski. He may be able to help you out.
  10. Might take a lot shells, if you've got a lot of geese!
  11. Does it just sit there at 999? I guess I expected it to roll over and start back ar zero.
  12. Just got an email from USAWS informing me that they're up and running.
  13. Obviously lack of knowledge of the rules. Agree with @lpskier.
  14. Don't know why, it's just the way they set it up.
  15. Look into what an engine rebuild would cost you and replace the transmission with a series 80. If the worst possible scenario presents itself, is the purchase price plus the previous mentioned within reason?
  16. Not an answer, but does your cover have vents? Prevention, try to keep ALL water out of the boat and if feasible leave the cover off for a while after you get through skiing. Engine heat under the cover with any moisture can promote mildew. Oh, as @MDB1056 said, use a brish.
  17. I usually mention tournament first, but follow up with practice. Only 2 buoys difference though.
  18. If I had my choice, with no conflicts, I would ski 2 days and take off 1. Repeat. So not really based on a "week".
  19. There are probably lots of reasons they "could" be different, but I would think more reasons to think they're the same. It would require additional coding instead of relying on the same code already there. Just my thoughts.
  20. Yeah, @tjs1295 sounds like youre around a tough crowd. First as relates to beans in a can, it sounds more elitist to say you should buy your beans in a bag. They sound way too "natural". But as to boat pricing, they obviously aren't interested in any kind of boating if 5K sounds offensive to them. What would be a good price for them to get into a boat? Other than a row boat, of course. Find new friends or avoid discussing the subject. Talk to them about how much beer they consumed over the weekend.
