bhs - Will Asher has been using the Reflex system with a RTP and April Coble uses it with a rear Wileys binding I believe.

im 19 and I would say course. I did the whole wakeboard thing but I never really liked it. I skied way more but I did break out my front teeth wakeboarding. I love releasable bindings so skiing it is for me!

DW you are correct that airplanes and even some cars do have carbon fiber on them but in the boat it looks like in the pictures that the black area is exposed carbon fiber with a clear coat. I did not know if having it exposed like that would make a difference.

Being a college student I really do see the draw for wakeboarding for the younger crowd. I agree with all of h2odawgs points above they really are true about wakeboarders and the skiers. I ski with some guys (on public water) that are uptight and do not want any one messing up their water and are too anal sometimes. but they are great guys dont get me wrong. I take friends out to the lake all the time and i will sit there and teach them to wakeboard/wakeskate getting more of my friends on the water no matter what the sport is always fun for me.( you never know who will find a passion for it as I have). All of my friends that come out have heard about the type of skiing I do and want to see me run the course. When I get done with my set they usually are speechless and think that it is the coolest thing. They always say something about how crazy the cross wake and turn speed are. But then they want to go and wakeboard. I always ask why and I tell them I can teach you to ski like I do. But they think it is to hard to learn and just want to wakeboard. I have yet to figure out what to do to get my friends to want to ski or at least try it. my 2c.

I use the Reflex system with a RTP and I trust it. I have not had any problems with my rear foot "Interacting with that metal." Do not push the two silvertta systems out the window right away. See if you can demo them and then get what you really want.

the $990 Elite sounds like a special on the 2009 models. The 2010's are out and the 2011's are right around the corner. I bought mine from Horton and am really happy with it. It is a great ski! " For that price GET IT! "

I think that to top was just something they put on for the prototype and will not be offered when the boat hits the market. But I am not sure how the exposed carbon fiber will hold up that is on the top bow and stern of the boat. I have always heard that because it is black and holds heat that it breaks down quickly?

Tsixam what ski did you find cracks in? Elite? SixAM?

Shaq can fin in a Nascar?? Have you seen how small the drivers area is in one of those things?

skidawg- I agree those fin blocks are a PITA when it comes to getting the fin set up. I might see a Jagger eElite block in my future...

Horton - The_Krista uses a flip when The_Krista remembers to take it with her to the lake. The_Krista got it before the nice HD ones came out. The_Krista has the regular one. The_Krista will see if The_Krista can find a video that The_Krista took with it and post it to show the quality. The_Krista thinks it is a great camera!

Forget to tighten your fin block?

The lack of M & W 1&2 IMOP is a reflection of when we thought the sport was dying. This was mainly because wakeboarding hit its peak when those skiers were younger and want to be cool and thus went to the dark side. Because they stopped skiing tournament attendance went down as well as ski sells as wakeboard sells went up. Now people are starting to get back skiing. One of the best skiers I know was on the Canadian Junior wakeboard team and then converted to slalom skiing and was in the top 3? I think at the Pro-Am. I think I heard of a retired pro wakeboarder who reverted back to his roots of skiing because it is easier on his body and he still loves the sport. My 2c.

I ski on the Elite and I did feel some hesitation in the of the turn for a little while but I just added a little more front foot pressure in the turns and now the turns are great! I give this advice with out having watched you ski.

Horton I thought you kept up with skiing news. :) Fisher is no more. Razor bought the line.

Harold Hintringers brothers skis - MC Skis I believe. Jobe is still around im sure they produce a "high end ski" but I do not know how it compares to the other production high end skis.

Its cool I like it. I feel the slide with the serious skiers.... needs a boarder or something else on the screen. My 2c.
