  1. @MISkier you should have the ski fully rotated by finish of the turn so there would be no reason for the little zip. I think what I wrote to @Horton will help you to get to where you want to be.

  3. @Horton I think a lot of us are programmed to think that pulling longer will make us wider. If we get a bad ball one, it is a natural tendency to pull long to feel like we can make up for our mistake. The problem is this just makes it more impossible to do the above mentioned techniques. I work on gates every day so that I can come into buoy one on the best possible line and set myself up with the best chance to do what I wrote about. Even when things go wrong, we need to trust that our work window is only from connection point to centerline. This may require a more aggressive, shorter lean.

  5. @wish you are not getting your ski rotated in the preturn so you have no choice at the finish but to use upper body rotation to break the tail free. This invokes a massive skid at the end of your turn, causing a rapid loss of speed. I would guess you are staying on edge too long past centerline and getting pulled to the inside off the edge change. This makes the rope go slightly slack and you lose the ability to be pulled forward on your ski to start the smearing process.

  7. I always put my right glove on first. Stupid superstition but I've been rolling this way for years so I'm not about to change.

  9. Here's the link to my videos: Hope this helps. Also, all fins will change their settings when the block is tightened. Just take your time so that the numbers you get when the block is tight are right.

  11. Great questions everyone! Keep them coming! @ToddL I am considering the video response. Radar and BOS are offering up swag to the winners so give it your best shot! I'm hoping to keep this as on ongoing weekly/bi-weekly event as long as you all have interest.
  12. This is a great start guys. Keep the questions coming!
  13. Try the following: 28 3/4" 2.500 6.845 0.750 9 I recommend using a wing especially for everything above 30-32 mph. The wing does more than act like a brake. It keeps the ski from dumping over coming into the turn and it keeps the tail from blowing out at the finish of the turn.
  14. @Cragginshred the numbers you posted above are a great starting point. This past summer, I rode my 2013 Strada at those numbers but shallower (2.495) and really liked it. I will be happy to help you dial the ski in further if needed.
  15. Great skiing @Horton & @JCMcCavit! Glad to hear so many skiers skiing well on the new ski.
  16. @klundell thats some impressive skiing! When I ran my first 39 (1999) in a tournament I finished 4th and lost by 6 buoys to Mapple (tied the world record with 1@43). I feel your pain but keep your head up. Next stop is to run 39 in a record event!
  17. @alex38 I would go with the medium. As for the strap, if you ski in them and the strap feels too short, take the dowel out of the tether strap. This makes the strap longer without sacrificing lock.
  18. @markchilcutt do you have video from your set today in that nice warm water of Utah?
  19. Here's a picture of the inside of my boat @sergiom
  20. No hull changes. The only significant differences are the motors used. There was a period where the boats were built with 5.7L Mercruizer.
  21. I have one and love it. The boat is easy to drive and holds its direction extremely well when driving the course with a skier behind (requires very little counter steer to stay down the middle). The drivers seat sits up higher than other ski boats and swivels which gives easy access and a great drivers view of the lake and upcoming course. I have zero off installed in my boat and I'm very happy with how easy/soft the boat skis (considerably better than with Perfect Pass). TAPS2 (Tige Adjustable Performance System) in conjunction with Tige's Convex V hull design allows me to shape the wake perfectly for any speed or line length. The PCM motor is an excellent match and provides a great hole shot and surprisingly good fuel efficiency.
  22. @JC McCavit the sport is evolving and skis are too. The way we design skis now a days has made it easier then ever for skiers to consistently perform their best with considerably less physical effort. Ski design will continue to evolve and change in an effort to get more skiers to the next level. It is amazing how simple a waterski looks and yet how complicated each aspect of the ski really are. When enough things come together right, you get something special. We feel the Strada is this special ski. At the top of the game, there are physical limitations that make it that much more necessary to have equipment matched to the skiers style and set up to hide skier weaknesses.
