  1. Hey Matt MbSkier This is Andy from up at Radar Lake looks like we are maybe heading to CB this weekend would be our first trip!! What's the water temp like right now? Looking to get some sets in on the course as well, I'll be towing the boat over is the course skiable all day?
  2. Man reading all these post with 80+ water temp sounds so nice.. Radar Lake was 68* today.. I'm wishing I was in a warmer climate for skiing!! Working a bit more on my gates but 66 Strada is rockin!!!!! Took my week old baby boy for a walk around the lake today it was awesome!
  3. I use the RADAR Storms I love these gloves becuase there isnt any NEO on them so they don't stretch put or pull apart at the seams they are thinner glove almost like a baseball fit, I wish they came with a kevlar palm.... I've heard really good things about the HO 41tails???
  4. I'm working on being more patient on my 1,3,5 side I guess that would be my onside RF foot fwd?? AS I go around the turn islands I tell myself handle up at 1 ball and counter rotate @ 2 then at three hold back a bit, not trying to over turn! I've also gone back to working on a 2 handed gates which seem's to be setting me up better for my 1 ball with a nice smooth roll in.. I ran some really clean 32's yesterday and worked on a couple 35's only getting up to 2 ball.. Last year at this time I was struggling to get into 28's... My gates still need some work but I'm having a lot of fun skiing this year!!!!!! Worst part is I'm still in a drysuit, RADARÂ water temp was 62 yesterday....
  5. I'll attest for Richard his boat is spotless I only trust Richard to SVC our vehicles and boat!! Once we start seeing the sun here in WA State this boat will be gone, so anyone on BOS that is thinking of it dont just do it you wont be disapointed... I skied behind it a week ago and had a blast thanks again RD!!
  6. From the second picture Alan looks like he's between the launch and the starting docks? Must have launched the boat and not had keys so they got tossed short maybe? Bakes should have key code records if they are gone, hope they got to ski!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Sounds like a good investment but how many times when you checked it have you been hassled for oversize baggage if at all?? I'll call Tadd for some more info as well!
  8. I have been lucky at this point in time as MS has stated!!! I use a HO Sport Global bag that has the wheels I double wrap my ski in two bags then take my life jacket wrap it around the fin block then towels up front around the tip, rope and handle sit just in front of the bindings.. I work in the Motocross Industry so I usually have a ton of extra equipment that I need to pack for our athletes so jerseys and pants add as extra padding as well.. Going to a event I'm usually right at the 50lbs going home usually 35lbs..  MS what's the hard shell and how much are they??? While waiting for a connection last year I saw a golf bag fall off a carriege cart then get run over by the last cart as it turned to drop it's load.........
  9. Ski Tek isn't that far maybe 20min. they use a tige.. Swiss Ski Ski is about 45min to a hour in Clermont FL thisis one of my favorite sites, ask to ski with Julien they are using the SN200!! Just came back from this area last week water is in the mid 70's shorts only weather, I've been flying alot with my ski gear from the NW and have only had to pay $25 for checked baggage when I fly Delta.. ÂÂ
  10. I'll be traveling to Houston this next week for work and have all day Friday as a free day , I was thinking of bringing my ski with me and wanted to know if anyone knew of any places that I could pay per set to ski at?? Been skiing lately here in the NW but want to dip into some water temp that's above 52, thanks for your time!!
  11. The Radar comes with a new fin block as well sorry!!
  12. I have a 66 RADAR RS-1 that I got this last year that I would like to sell for $450 that will also cover the shipping to US States only! I also have a 66.25 2009 HO A1 that I would like to sell for $450.00 that will also cover the shipping to the US States only! The A1 has a really, really, really small ding on the right side of the middle top sheet of the ski.. I can take a photo if interested in the ski! please feel free to email me agustafson@live.com
  13. Hilltop Lakes old 2000 SN had over 2400hrs when the owner final replaced her with a 2007 SN for the club members to use.. Even with that many hours it still looked awesome! Gordon the owner of the lake takes impeccable care of his lake and equipment! WWW.Hilltoplake.net
  14. HO 410, I was just down a Wileys, Darren had a couple of the new 2010 Senate C's along with a couple new STRADA's!!! The 2010 Senate shape look's same as last year off the RS-1 shape.. Not sure if it has been updated other than the graphic change from this year to last year.. Darren's # 206-762-1300..
  15. Sorry don't know anything about trick other than this.. If your friend doesn't mind a blem Darren @ Wiley's has a couple Quantum carbon's and D3's in stock looking to make a killer deal on them not sure o the sizes either, but would be worth the call!!! 206-762-1300
  16. Jean You ski year round you might want to think about trying a closed toe boat system not sure if Radar makes the new Strada in your size but would be worth checking into with Eddie.. Also check out the Fluidmotion Evolution Z series boot looks like they make a small boot 5-6 suppose to be a similar design to the radar boot.. My new Strada's are sitting on the floor of my office should be mounted on my stick!
  17. Jim thank you sounds awesome!! I googled Cancun waterski and a couple places came up Cancunwaterski says coming soon and waterskicancun is a place that is up and running look's like it's been around a few years.. Any info on these places would be great!
  18. Just wondering if any of you have been to Ski Acapulco?? Look's amazing but I would have a hard time trying to spend that kind of money when my wife isn't as gung ho about skiing as I am.. I also was digging through a couple past issues of Waterki Mag. and found a place called Ski Caraibes in St. Martin seem's a little more like a ski by the set kind of place? I could see myself sneaking in two sets a day and having the rest of the time to spend together. How is salt water skiing? I'm just going a little stir crazy sitting hear I guess with air miles to burn!!
  19. rq0013 Yes the offside was more forgiving the whole ski was forgiving!! Between the 2 you might need to work just a little bit more with the RS-1 and make less mistakes.. The Strada was really fun to ride it was smooth didn't hunt for a edge.. Not sure what the fin was setup at but I didn't feel it needed to be adjusted I did try it with a 7 degree wing the second set from the 9 it was at the first set and felt much better for me.. When I get out of skier position withthe RS-1 it get's a little rough with the Strada it was much more contrable wake crossing was a breeze like a hot knife thru butter no hop or bounce.. Looking fwd to jump back on one of these ASAP!!
  20. Looking good Zippy!! I was also able to try the new Strada with the correct graphics yesterday also lake was 52 and air 59.. I loved the new ski very skier friendly right off the dock I'm still trying to work my way up the line but was able to make it to 3 ball @ 32off.. I though the ski was lighting fast through the wakes and turned with little effort. When I made a mistake the Strada forgave me and put me right back on track with no disgust to my skiing abilitys.. This is my second year in the course so I'm constinatly trying to remind myself to ski in proper body position and work one bouy at a time!! I love my RS-1 but was bumbed to see the Strada drive away in Eddie's car..
  21. Local Lurker here, Just wanted to mention that richarddoane installed the super easy and fast drain plugs to my Malibu last year!! Takes me about 3 minutes to drain everything and the install is super clean looking! I love that it gives me that piece of mind at night or if I'm away from home traveling that my boat is good to go for the next rip! Thanks again Zippy! Now that summer is over in the NW I want to get out and ski more than ever rain rain go away.... AG and yes RADAR does ROCK!
  22. rq0013 The boots are a new color blk with silver trim, the liners are also lined in a silver color still has two pull cords but the plastic end caps on the laces are beefed up so you shouldn't have a issue with pulling them off when you are cinching up the boots the back of the boots rubber is a little thinner as well for a easier release I believe.. The mounting plate looks the same with some added graphic that I thought looked very nice in silver detail.. They are also going to offer individual plates for the boots to mount on if so desired.. I liked the the looks of last years boots, when I saw these I was thinking how I can get a set of these sooner then later they look killer!!! The bindings where the only thing that I saw so I can't make mention if there is a going to be a new ski or not sorry!
  23. I have both of these ski's and find myself riding the RS-1 more so than the A1.. For me the RS-1 rides a little more in the tail super fast across the wakes and really turns with little effort. On this setup I also use the RS-1 boots I'm a size 9.5 but use the size 10 boots with superfeet and have no problems.. I did see the 2010 stuff last week the new boots are suppose to be true to size, come with the superfeet sole and liners are a bit more slimmed down.. The back rubber of the boot is also not as thick for a little easier release, another cool thing is they are going to offer single mounted plates for the boots so you could run a RTP a little easier.. My A1 has a Reflex hardshell in the front and a Wiley Pro Built in the rear.. This setup is a lot different from my RS-1 and ski's a lot different. The A1 ski's really nuetral for me but does't seem as fast through the wakes they are two very different ski's for me that is for sure, I've switched around bindings from ski to ski and feel that the RS-1's work best with the Radar setup, still trying to get the Reflex system dialed in on the A1.. I'm just starting to get into 32off this year and have a lot more to learn but feel a little more confident on the RS-1 at this point in time.. Hope this is a little help for you but it is really a good idea to try both of these ski's, call Darren @ Wileys he may let you demo both of these ski's??
