  1. @LoopSki When you say “rear of the boat” are you referring to the transom? Why not buff it out really good and then apply something clear like 3M Scotchgard Film (8 mil Urethane)? I think they make “Clear bras” for cars out of that stuff or something like it and I think it is easier to apply, ie it car be “adjusted” more easily than what the Seadeck sounds to be.
  2. @AdamCord @adamhcaldwell Thanks for this latest GUT installment. Many (actually most) of the boats at our club are still using Perfect Pass. Are there any changes to this approach recommended for PP skiing?
  3. If only I had been more money motivated in my career. Sigh.
  4. October glass for miles at Flat Hollow Marina Norris Lake TN
  5. @Mitzysman @mwetskier @brooks How do the sizes of the Vice gloves run? I use a Large in the 2016 inside-out Vapor Boa. Would I use a Large in the Vice or do they tend to run larger than the Vapors?
  6. @Mitzysman @mwetskier @brooks How do the sizes of the Vice gloves run? I use a Large in the Vapor Boa. Would I use a Large in the Vice or some other size, e.g. a Medium if the Vice runs a bit larger?
  7. 33 ft rope? We're the course dimensions different back then?
  8. @jdfordf150 I believe that Chee is no longer in the business. I believe that Gabriel Garcia is the guy now. His email address is bassmastergarcia@yahoo.com Let us know how you make out with him.
  9. '99 to '04 Sunsetter LXi without a doubt. Keep looking. They pop up on Boattrader pretty often with a range of prices from $17k up.
  10. Only time to ski here in SW Ohio is early morning. Winds in the teens after 10:00am
  11. @skiinxs This is going to be a really interesting thread I predict! A quick "google" and perusal of resulting threads seems to indicate that the US Gov't has regulated that Zinc additives (ZDDP) not be used in oils for gasoline engines, only diesel and off-road racing. Therefore, it could just be that they cannot any longer get the "S" specification because of this. Probably is the same oil as ever but who knows. Also, I read that the zinc is bad for catalytic converters but some wags say that is only if you are burning a bunch of oil. Again, I can't wait to hear others chime in on this.
  12. @KRoundy I'm able to get to the data through the Slalom Ski Guide then manufacturer (e.g. Radar) then selecting a year and ski e.g. 2011 Strada. There are tables with recommendations from different pros e.g. Rossi for the different lengths. I can't figure out how to copy and paste the tabulated data here.
  13. @auskier We're you thinking of proskicoach.com?
  14. Here in SW Ohio if it hasn't been raining its been blowing. Hard to find good spots except very early in the morning. Worse yet is that it doesn't look good for any day this upcoming 3 day weekend.
  15. @Razorskier1 What do you mean by "stay up off the water"?
  16. Don't know what @Horton uses but I've used one of these to good effect on much thicker metal https://goo.gl/OiOE2B
  17. @DW I emailed Max at skiertoskier.com and he confirmed that the latest software comes with any new upgrades. I may finally now pull the trigger on the Stargazer/Zbox upgrade myself. FYI if you belong to a ski club you can register as such on skiertoskier and get a discount and free shipping if you order via the web.
  18. @DW Oh, sorry, misunderstood the question. One would think that the newest software would come with a new upgrade package.
  19. @DW There is (and has been for a while) an upgrade package that includes both Stargazer and Z-box along with an optional Multiline display. You can find it on the PP website.
  20. Travis the schnoodle....16 years old and still kicking!
  21. PP website says something about a software upgrade stick for $150
  22. December 12, 2016 New Version 9 Software for Star Gazer Three Event Expected to be released in late January 2017, the newest version of software for Slalom Course Skiers has a number of significant enhancements: Engagement is improved in short set ups (or with inexperienced overly aggressive drivers) by using a new calculation based on RPM, GPS Speed and Rate of Acceleration. This enables the system to more quickly zero in on the correct position for the Servo Motor. The Calibration for RPM Baselines can now be performed “automatically” in open water in AUTO CAL MODE. Simply throttle up and system will engage and will set the baseline for 36 mph. It will then drop the set speed to 34 and repeat, etc. All baselines can be set in this mode in under 2 minutes. Disengagement in the end turns for slower speed skiers has also been improved to make driving easier. The user interface has been tweaked and is more intuitive and user friendly.
  23. Looks like a nice Christmas present for myself. I'm interested.
