  1. From the FAE website...."Boat engine manufacturers specify that the exhaust back pressure not exceed 2 psi as higher levels may impair engine performance. On typical boats FAE does not increase exhaust back pressure above 2 psi except at engine speeds above 3500 rpm. With FAE installed, the typical boat loses 1-1/2 to 2 mph of top end speed."
  2. So many water sports, so little time....2001 Sunsetter LXI
  3. Lake Bobason out near Marysville, OH (23001 N Darby Coe Rd, Milford Center, OH 43045) might be an option. I've never been there myself and don't know if they are taking new members but they recently held a "Buckeye Bouy Tour" stop there. @GK might be able to connect you with the club.
  4. Carlisle are fine but don't go longer than 5 years. As said before, that is probably the max life for a trailer tire anyway.
  5. here it is.... http://www.themalibucrew.com/forums/index.php?/page/articles.html/_/fuel-sender-r3
  6. @SpartanSki There used to be a "do-it-yourself" post on themalibucrew.com for replacing the fuel sender. I did it in my Sunsetter LXI a number of years back. Much more accurate than from the factory
  7. I agree....Robby is the best....great customer service
  8. Find a 2004 Malibu Sunsetter LXI....best family crossover ever....incredible slalom wake, storage and higher (dryer) freeboard
  9. Master Curves with neoprene hand savers underneath....but the magic formula (for me) is to use as small of a handle diameter as you can....forces you to hold the handle out in your fingers more and not bunched up in your palm....for me that's how I always broke free the calluses
  10. @mwetskier Did you ever complete testing on this? It is expensive but as others have said if it can reduce the rope slap it might be worth it. Anyone else looked into this?
  11. 2004 GMC Savana Explorer Conversion and 2001 Malibu Sunsetter LXi. Happy (Kids and) Wife, Happy Life.
  12. Hope I don't get a Panda but it does "look [just] like" what you posted :)
  13. @swc5150 My brother has a Cayenne S that he uses to haul around his 21 ft Mastercraft Wakeboard boat. I think you'd have no trouble with a 196
  14. I'd be very interested to hear what @Than_Bogan would have to say about this thread. It's been sooooo long since I've studied physics / dynamics but my guess is that it is not so much about shortening the string as it is about adding energy to the system. By pulling down on the string the Prof is adding a new force which is causing an effective increase in the tension of the string which causes an additional acceleration. I'm with @skibrain re his first post in this thread, I think the key takeaway for me is that the timing of adding this force is key, i.e. load late and get off it late. For those of us who are impatient in the turns, this is something to really think about
  15. Wakeye app is available in Apple App Store or iTunes for $.99

  17. @Chad_Scott I'd be interested in what your rudder grind looks like as well. Can you post the picture on here?
  18. Mike Suyderhoud talks about this and I think shows it in the "West Coast Slalom" video
  19. Wetsuit Wearhouse has the ankle straps. You can buy them from Amazon
