  1. Sounds like a voltage issue. Check the battery and alternator
  2. @Than_Bogan I think @Gloersen has got it. The "letter" determines "lag" time (I'm defining lag as the amount of time before ZO reacts to the pull of the skier). The higher the letter, the lower the lag time. The number determines the "intensity" of the reaction. The higher the number the quicker or more intense the reaction (and also the lower the overall duration).
  3. Jeesh...do they really have to use "First-Ever". That is so overused and it turns me off on any product right away. Nautique should fire their marketing person just for laziness.
  4. Has anyone gone from the current Masterline Curves (which can't be found right now in anything other than tiny sizes) to the current BOA? If so, how did the sizes compare? I love my Masterlines size L. Best fitting glove for me ever.
  5. @Jibbo Which "Stabilisation" are you affecting with the button on the Wakeye app? FYI, I have an iphone 6+. Have you tried using one of the other video apps where stabilization can be defeated such as FilmIC Pro?
  6. @303Skier So what, if anything, does the "Stabilisation" button on the Wakeye app do?
  7. @Wish For the iPhone in Wakeye app....Video Stabilization on or off? Also, did you use the Wakeye "zoom" as well? If so, what level e.g. 1.5X? Thanks. Really want to continue using my 6plus but getting bad video now.
  8. I think the key is to avoid a black or other very dark cover. Malibu stopped using black covers from the factory several years back because of this very issue. Despite knowing this myself, I took the risk because black "looks cool". I've now bought a second cover from Westland in cadet gray to use as my "everyday" cover. The black Evolution will be used for towing and trips to Norris Lake.
  9. Have the same issue with my black sunbrella Evolution cover. A couple of days boating in the sun fades it out.

  11. Neveu was 6' 5" according to Waterski Mag from a couple of years ago....looks taller than that now
  12. @lcgordon Regarding Chet's statement "stand up tall and then when [you] go to turn in just turn the ski like [you're] doing a side slide on a trick ski". Check out this video starting at 49 seconds. Pretty good visual of what he is talking about. You can see him stand up then rotate his hips first.
  13. Use Masterline Curves with very thin motocross-type or thin neoprene palm pads with elliptical handle and hold handle in fingers not palms works best for me.
  14. As a struggling RFF, 28-off guy I have found this topic, and especially the @Wish point about "initiating the turn with the hips" revelational. Studying the Regina video, it is clear (to me) that she initiates every turn with a turn of her hips. I can't wait to try this. I also appreciate the comment that if you close your hips a bit ("a little less open" per @Horton ) on the on-side turn that you will get more power and speed. Will that also help me to get more angle out of the ball? I am really struggling with shortening the line because I don't seem to get enough angle especially on my on-side. By the way, I am 57 yrs old 195 lbs. riding a 68" Orange Strada.
  15. @Daddyodaman I've used the 525 on my Sunsetter LXi. It's a good prop to provide a bit more grunt for wakeboarding and to get up to slalom speed quicker. No noticeable affect on slalom wake.
  16. @Waternut The Malibu M235 referenced elsewhere in this thread has a draft of 32" (with a dry weight of 6200 lbs!). Gotta displace some water to make those gnarly waves, dude.
  17. @bogboy To quote Ace Ventura that's a "lovely room of death" you have there!
  18. @dbutcher Is this what you are referring to?
  19. @Than_Bogan I have the same issues with my Camaro long suit. I happened to look at a video of Nick Parsons earlier where it looks like he wraps cellophane (Saran wrap type) around the lower legs of his Camaro. I'm going to try that in the spring.
  20. Before you buy, you might want to consider this....less than $20K Link
  21. I used to split my weekend time in my early 20's between sailing in regattas (crewing on a Thistle one-design boat) and bumming slalom pulls behind friend's stern drive runabouts. One day we were all out to dinner together, my sailing captain and some of the bow rider guys, and the captain asks "so when are you going to get a boat". I answered, as soon as I can find one like "Joe's" (i.e. not a Thistle) but in red. I bought a 19' 1985 Wellcraft 190 (red of course) with a 3.7l 4 cylinder later that summer. I used that boat for 17 years before replacing with my 2001 Sunsetter LXI in 2003. I might never get another boat again.
  22. WRT the above MC....what? no metal-flake? That boat is going to age well :)
