  1. Skimech, Go to the recent thread "New Radar Strada Report", 2nd page, post #38 I believe, gives a link to Rossi and Rini discussing the design/theory of the Strada. (edit) sorry...looks like the youtube video was taken down...perhaps it was too informative?ÂÂ
  2. This ski is mint and could likely pass for new. Used for one season. I can email more photos if anyone interested. Selling as blank. I'll cover shipping to 48 states, and sell for $125. Good 30-32 mph ski for girls/women up to about 125 lbs or so.ÂÂ
  3.  Always good to hear positive stuff like that, Joe. I'm about to pull the trigger on one of their drysuits, and its comforting to know they stand behind their products. I sent them an email w/ a few questions. Like your experience.... in no time, I got candid, thorough responses, from both Chuck and Larry. ÂÂ
  4. Wow!! 4 ball at -39 1/2 is just ridiculous!!
  5. OF, It looks like I sold it last night (ski it again). I'm waiting for funds from buyer. If not, will advise. dave
  6. Hey, Recently purchased this In Tow handle from Brenda. I meant to order 13", so looking to replace this one. Used just a few sets...certainly no sign of wear...like new, "tournament" handle w/ yellow spectra. I'll cover shipping to 48 states and sell for $50 (pref paypal). (originally paid over $80 incl shipping)
  7. He looks great...w/ some good habits to build upon.  I was also wondering if at only 75 lbs, the 65" ski was causing the air over the wakes. Chef23....I'm curious as to what April's rationalle was for running full length?? I also have a 10 yr old (daughter).  I've been pulling her at 15off. Just bumped her from a 64" HO Esprit to a (wider) 65" HO Siren (Triumph)...but she is very big for her age (5-4", 130)ÂÂ
  8. Great idea...Chef, if you get one and don't like it , I'll buy it off you...so as to have a sweet pair of sandals. Possibly even can retrofit one of those bottle openers in the bottom...like the Reefs.  On second thought...forget it. Having spent some honeymoon time on Duval St, I'm not sure it would be the chicks that would be diggin that look (I'll stick w/ my Keens, and leave the RTP on the ski).
  9. yup, the inside of the overlay and tongue on my ARTP is not the traditional rubber. It is more like a nylon similar to the liner of the Radar boots. The picture linked below may be helpful. It shows it mounted on the Sequence plate on my Senate.  I should "qualify" my comments that I am not a tournament skier....hopefully my opinions help your cause (and help shed my "lurker" label)
  10. Hey Chef, I get up w/ one foot in. My concern was wanting to match the thickness of the footbed cushions on both the boot and the TP. I first tried the original radar ARTP or "slipper" as it has been called here. I knew I didn't like it immediately after a dry fit...never even mounted it...I just returned it. The newer one has a floating tongue w/ an adjustable bungee strap over it. I set the bungee tension to my foot size and forget about it.  After getting up, (as I did w/ my HO TP) I softly kick my foot in, then "creap" it forward by scrunching/walking my toes foward. The footbed is step-grooved so the toes grip it easily. I like how the bungee flexes, then recoils allowing me to get my foot in as deep as I want, but maintain the desired strap tension. I should say that where I normally ski, length of lake is not an issue, so I have plenty of time to get the rear foot good and planted inthere. I don't have my ski handy at the moment to verify this statement, but I believe it (the overlay) uses the more modern material (like the radar boots, that don't need slime). Thus, it is less sticky then rubber when inserting your foot. If interested, I'd be glad to take some close up pix when I get home to send you.
  11. Presumably due to this exact concern, it appears as though Radar now sells their (2010) boots w/ an individual plate (Note that the updated RS1 boots are now called Strada). I did see something listed on Perfskis website called a Radar "Stereo Plate" that accomplishes what you want...at a price.  I'm not sure if there are any plates floating around from the new boots ...that those using the Sequence plate do not need. I'm also a RTP guy, recently picked up the new 2010 Radar ARTP (w/ bungee laces), and have it on the Sequence plate. I actually like it better than the (HO) one I replaced.ÂÂ
  12. Dan, If you don't get an answer here, you might want to try correctcraftfan.com or planetnautique.com
  13. agreed...confusing. If you choose to buy from that dealer, I have found John B. to be helpful in the past.
  14. Are you refering to the Strada "Ski", or the Strada "boots"? The ski itself is not specific...the website asks the "which foot forward" question because further down it affects the boot options you choose.  The Radar Strada "boots" (new version of RS1s) are foot specific. The Radar "Vector" boots (new version of "Rail") are not foot specific. Previously Radar boots had to be mounted to a single Radar "Sequence" plate. I believe that they now are offering them with individual plates....allowing you to use another brand of toe loop if you choose.
  15. Okay, okay...Hi, my name is Dave....... I am also a Lurker, but hope one day to be considered a "recovering lurker"... once I am able to master this 6 buoy program. Honestly, Kudos to a great site, much "high end" knowledge &  expertise on here (complimented w/ ample humor). 42 and getting back into slalom after a long layoff.... and luvin it (as do my young kids). I might even have to make the leap and buy my Radar a caliper for Christmas :-)  Dave (N.E.)
  16. Thanks bro...keep me in the loop. I'm sure you're trying to maximize time on the water...with that new 'Bu you picked up.ÂÂ
  17. Can only comment on "the slipper"... I am an 8wide foot, and the could not use the old one (too loose). However, I just got the new 2010 Radar ARTP (with the laces), and it is pretty sweet. A far better (customizable) fit than the old version. Definitely would consider it pretty advanced as far as toe plates go. I mounted mine on the Sequence Plate w/ the new 2010 Radar Vector (replacing Animal and HO RTP).  I just got out on it for first time yesterday, and "I'm sold".  ÂÂ
  18. Scot, I'm curious what the Stradas came w/ for mounting arrangement. Did they have separate plates attached to allow them to mount directly to her ski, or did you go w/ a Radar Sequence plate?ÂÂ
  19. I thought the tv coverage ended when Wayne Grimditch won the ABC "Superstars" competition in 1978
  20. Cool. Vector Boot looks real interesting.
  21. Sounds like a pretty good deal. +1 on themalibucrew.com, Tuney. Post the specs on the boat in their forum for feedback. You'll get plenty of advice. Someone there may even be familiar with the exact boat.  Include your location, as there may be other options nearby.  People are always happy to help spend others money.
  22. Hey Tuney, Please post your findings after you get the boots....sounds like our feet came from the same mold, and I'm also considering RS-1s at some point.
