  1. don't forget to put a sock on so you don't burn your foot, and don't heat the insole/footbed-put it in liner after it comes out of oven.
  2. here is what HO 410 refers to.... and .... Else, just search youtube for "stisher whips"
  3. couldn't help but notice that new improved wake that people have been buzzing about
  4. I have an 03 Rlxi and agree with you. Aside from ZO, I have no qualms. I also have a fondness for the 1997-99 Nautiques.
  5. I just drove and (free) skied behind the CP on my lunchbreak. This was my first experience with it. Aside the worst OTF of my life (owner/observer thought the backboard might get put to use), I was much more impressed than I expected. Boat has more than ample power, and the interior has deeper freeboard than I expected. I found the wake small and soft. Running with a full tank of gas, there was a 22off bump to be seen. A little weight up front might smooth this out. Good luck w/ your new "tractor", Joe. To me, it seems to be solid, practical package.

  7. RD and rq, How much do you guys riding the 66" weigh?
  8. Thank, Chris. Is there any recommended deviation from these boot settings for RTP users?
  9. another good how-to article (from Chris Rossi) found here.... http://slalomguru.com/articles.php?article=fin As Than mentioned, measure and document all measurements before you touch anything. And as most will advise you...if to make changes, do one thing at a time in small increments.
  10. On this topic... my Strada has two rows of stitching near the base of the heel. Since the heel base angles forward, is there a consensus on which row of stitching the measurement should be taken from?
  11. Very happy w/ my Eagle drysuit....front zip, baggy. Very lightweight material...almost seems to breathe... if that is possible. Regarding the (baggy) ONeill Boost, I like that they now use a neoprene neck seal for comfort. However, on more than one occasion, I have found problems w/ the wrist seals being inappropriately sized for the suit. When in doubt, I prefer to give my biz to Eagle....given the amount of money they put back into the sponsorship and promotion of watersport events.
  12. thanks, Anthony. After numerous attempts over the last couple days, that password reset trick finally got me signed in.
  13. Normally would PM this response...but its broken. No, I don't think it would be bad, and I would not be opposed to contributing to the health of this site. Just make it easy to do so (i.e. paypal).
  14. Dang!!! A failed attempt at a good deed.
  15. IMO, Nice graphics on both of those skis. It looks like the Vice graphics have been tamed quite a bit. Any refinements noted for the Strada boots?
  16. EZ Ed, They were nice enough to send me an extra...one of which is now in an envelope in my mailbox, and will be heading to you in the sunflower state tomorrow. When you get it, you will see that there is a groove/tab on it...such that there is a "top" and "bottom" to it....ahhh, you'll figure it out. Cheers.
  17. Hey EZ Ed, I dropped Ryan an email, and got a few of the "tabs" for the lower bungee locks sent to me. There are a lot of things in this world to complain about....Radar Customer Service is NOT one of them. No big deal, but the "tabs" I got were white...wonder if it is a sign of things to come?
  18. Just musing....If the IOC ever were to consider adding h20skiing as an olympic sport....reading the points made this thread would quickly help with them render a decision.
  19. Like BDecker...I'd love to hear someone w/ hands on experience compare the Fusion to X7...
  20. Marco, Try Jim's advice. My daughter (also) has double Lyrics, and has not experienced this problem. It is the same cinch mechanism (acetal wheel) that is on my Strada boot. If problem persists, I would think Radar would send you another cinch. Else, you can buy a pkg of them from McMaster Carr www.mcmaster.com , item # 3734T2 for $10 or so.
  21. No complaints, Michael. Hope you are enjoying and making the most of your two week season up there.
  22. I just noticed that SIA now lets you sort Comp Boats by state, year, make. Also, Slalom Skis can be sorted by year, make, etc... A great upgrade to a great site....
  23. Jared, Haven't seen or heard anything about Strada or Vice, but (Darren) Wileys had a facebook posting this weekend showing pix of the 2012 Radar Lyric, Senate, and Senate C. Pretty radical changes in graphics for the Senates....grey and orange. Also, looked to be 3 sets of (back) rear inserts on each ski...to accomodate their "feather frame".
  24. FYI... I just noticed on the D3 website (www.d3skis.com) that they are offering 20% off online this week...to coincide w/ the Nationals. I am assuming this applies to their skis.
  25. Adding flotation to the Comp Vest (ie. Bird of Prey) doesn't make it CGA. The Eagle vests that are CGA look like any other two belted neoprene vest you would find elsewhere (except it has an Eagle logo on it). I don't believe they have any unique features geared specifically towards skiing.
