  1. Travnews... I'd also like to know, as that got my attention as well. I'm assuming you are referring to the one seen on in the ad on the inside back cover of the latest WS Mag.
  2. Tank, If you indicate what speed you ski at, it will influence how others answer your question regarding length of ski. Re: bindings...if you ski at all in cold water, the extra cash for the closed toe Strada boots is a no-brainer.
  3. I've got a very nice, medium HO I've been meaning to list on SIA....if interested. Great condition.
  4. Hey Sully...care to elaborate on the Enzos? Sizing, fit, etc? TIA
  5. @Horton ...what happened to the "tip jar" paypal link to support the BOS cause? There's been so much great information on this site lately (particularly w/ Seth and Brooks input) that I'm starting to feel guilty getting it all for free. (Heck, I'll throw extra in if you keep that picture of Marion up for another month...there is just something about that picture...)
  6. ...and provides great coaching...on site, off site, or via video analysis. Money well spent to get you on track.
  7. Sully, Legit boat...I've skied behind it a couple times. With the crazy weather we're having, I was hoping owner would throw it in the river for an extra early season rip.

  9. The Prime is Radar's entry level boot. I am 99% sure the Rail was replaced by the Vector. The women's version (pink and white) of the Vector is called the Lyric. For sizing reference, my daughter is a Womens 8 or 8-1/2, and is in the small Lyric...the next size up was considerably larger, and had too much slop for her. Her small did loosen up after a few uses, and goes on pretty easily when wet w/ a bit of slime. I am a Mens 8, and have a medium Vector on a back up ski. I am at the absolute low end of the sizing range for it. Any bigger, and I couldn't and wouldn't use it. I think the medium would be too big for your wife's foot. Hope some of this helps.
  10. My buddy is tired of his boat being "the last one chosen" in our rotation... but the wake just doesn't compare to the other choices. Any suggestions on how, if even possible, to enhance the slalom wakes on this boat? It has Excaliber engine, Acme 422, and has the Flight Control Tower. Obviously removing the tower and cans would be step 1...but not sure how much help this will give. Adding 50#s of sand in the bow seemed to have a negative effect. TIA.
  11. Since the Flip cam is no longer being produced, I'm wondering if anyone has feedback for using the Kodak Playsport on a pylon mount tracking device. T.I.A.
  12. I love the logo in Rod's decals. I recently saw a cool bumper sticker on a car.... a slalom logo....under it the words "GOT GLASS?"
  13. Then why not get him "Edged in Water 2". I noticed that H2Osmosis has several videos on their website (Edged in Water 1 & 2, Momentum, Gifted, 32 Accounts). You might consider giving them a call to see if a "package price" for a few of them is available. You can cut and paste this url (since I'm too dumb to post a link).... www.h2oproshop.com/waterski-slalom-wakeboard-dvds.html
  14. Yup, works for me. At first sign of ear discomfort (often will wake up with it in the middle of the night), Hydrogen peroxide has always helped.

  16. Got mine as well. Yup...it will stretch a bit after getting wet and a couple uses.
  17. Also RFF and I found it VERY difficult to change mid season (probably from always using that grip holding hockey sticks and golf clubs). In my experience, it was much easier to make the change at start of season. Before heading out, tie a handle to a wall or post in your home, and simulate skiing/handle releases....thus developing a bit of muscle memory which will be very helpful. A few sets (at start of season) was all it took.
  18. That is interesting. When posting your findings, please be sure to indicate whether you get up w/ your rear foot in or out.
  19. do they mount on the inside or outside of the window??
  20. mine made it cross country to the northeast today....thanks
  21. cool decal...$$ transferred via paypal. thx
  22. Trav, for tight ankle or wrist seals when new, try putting a 1 liter soda bottle in there for a few days.
  23. OF, I've been very happy w/ my Eagle (about time to break it out again). Also bought one for my daughter (nothing worse than sharing a drysuit). I have used a Boost as well. The neoprene neck seal of the Boost is a nice feature, but figure that the front zip of the Eagle is the tradeoff. I'd be happy in either of them. The Eagle is surprisingly light weight and almost seems to breathe. I found the neck seal to be too tight and trimmed a couple "rings" off of it...problem solved. The white/black one looks nice, but I was warned that the white will stain easy if you go in water w/ high mineral content. Thus I have the red/black one. I usually wear an Eagle vest underneath it, and don't have any issues w/ "drag". DMac
  24. Eddy, If you go up about six posts, I figure out how to link those videos that were recommended to you.
  25. rq.... care to expand upon your statement that the 2012 feels "different" (or is it still to soon to compare/contrast)? thx.
