  1. I've always been a CC guy and the TXi is the first Malibu that has made me think about buying a Malibu................
  2. All really good ideas. The stretch she is doing is a yoga move (I can't remember the name). Even if you don't have time etc. for yoga I highly suggest attending several classes just to get some stretching ideas.
  3. Be sure to include rules about noise restrictions and hours of operation. At Aquaplex we prohibit any boat operation before 7 a.m. Muffler noise is a touchy subject since most people think some brands of boats are louder than others...............
  4. I agree with Horton. High Life is actually pretty good stuff. But I do wonder how many normal people drink beer out of big ass bottle. Very impressive swig.
  5. I'm selling my 2013 66.5" HO S2 at a great deal - $500. I've had good success on the S2, however, I've purchased an A3. Here's the Ski-It-Again link - http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&postid=23792
  6. Sorry - messed that up. Will re-post correctly.

  8. Living in Texas I own the O'Neill 24/7 hoodie and love it. I also own the Eagle hoodie and although great - not as cool as the O'Neill. The hoodies are great since compared to those old tight fitting sun shirts they feel much cooler. I also like putting the hood up and protecting the back of my neck and ears.
  9. 22 and 28 are different passes and for some shortline skiers 22 off is a hard pass since the angles are different. Body position and handle control is the key for 28 off.
  10. Just bought an A3 I that I rode this morning. Was on a S2 and felt the A3 was a bit faster. Funny thing is before the S2 I could never ride HO skis....just didn't work for me.
  11. I just had meniscus repair on both my knees in December (20% damage on each). I injured both of them doing a boot camp type fitness regimen last year. Everytime I hit the wake my knees bothered me, much less going up or down stairs. I elected to do both knees at the same time. The key to my successful rehab was starting a rehab program with an fitness trainer experienced in these types of injuries.
  12. Maybe I can help since I seem to be both a "princess" (2007 196 on a private ski lake) and ALSO "cheap" (1998 205 that I keep at my house on a public lake). Actually my 205 is the same boat that someone in Arkansas was trying to sell last week (Sammy Duval edition). My 205 has a perfectly fine wake at 28 off and above. At slow speeds the wake is brutal. I have a tower on the boat and my wakeboard friends are happy. Buy what you can afford and have fun.
  13. @skijay I'm interested. Please contact me. @lakeaustinskier
  14. @OB I agree completely with your comment about different coaches. Lately most of my improvement has happened because I try to carefully consider my mechanics and try to be aware of what my body is doing - NOT just ski. Maybe what the coach is telling you doesn't work for you - no big deal since once you figure out why it doesn't work..........maybe you've learned something that DOES work. Of course - easier said than done.
  15. I've always been a big Nautique fan and have always scorned the fit and finish of the older Malibus. Plus I always hated how the drivers seat always seemed like I was sitting in a "hole". Until.......I saw the new TXi. There are two different promo Txis at my lake and I love them both. Don't get me wrong - if both boats were the same price I'd consider the 200 but Malibu offers a heck of a boat for a lower price.
  16. Utah can't be beat especially Powder Mountain which is located just outside Ogden (where Goode is located). Powder Mountain caters to locals and prides itself on not grooming the slopes very much - lots of ungroomed back country. Snow Basin is also located in the area - very nice facilities for also cheap.
  17. Do I have to have a ponytail? I will say that although I don't practice yoga, yoga techniques have helped me.
  18. I had intermittent pain in both elbows the entire year. I was finally able to solve most of the problem with accupuncture (really) and most importantly by wearing neoprene wraps on both elbows while skiing AND also when I did any other activity that might fire the pain up. I found better results with bands that covered above and below the elbow (not just the single band). Good luck!
  19. @horton yes - considering where the crack was there was no way I was going to continue to use the ski. I'm a 32/35 off skier and I'm really glad HO gave fantastic service.
  20. Try the manufacturer and see what happens. I had a similar thing happen with my S2. I don't know what happened but I had about 1 inch of seperation on the edge right in front of my front boot. Bad place. I had originally purchased the ski through H2Osmosis and they were able to send the ski back to HO for inspection. HO is currently sending me a new 2013 S2 blem. Great service from H2O and HO!
  21. My ski partner uses a Powervest - plus - he also uses Clinchers. Never had a problem but he's also experienced with both products. He says he had to go to the Powervest to help him with the deep water starts but he doesn't really use the vest in the course. Recently he had to ski with a normal vest and his bouy count wasn't far off.
  22. Great list especially being stacked. I really improved my skiing when Trent F. told me to "stand tall" across the wake. That and don't load too early into the turn.
  23. I agree with Shane that maybe the longer ski might be more stable at your slower speed and longer length. If you can find a cheap longer ski try it out.
