  1. Capital Creek Slave Lake Magnet Lake (regional references)
  2. Would be interesting to see Horton side by side on different skis.
  3. I would experiment with weight distribution and different props. Going bigger made the wake worse...maybe smaller will make it better. Maybe 4 blade or a 5 blade. At least it's easier to reverse than another hole in the bottom. : )
  4. I am sure he will be fine. A quick story...several years ago I was running a marathon, and one of the guys from our training group said that he felt a little crappy part way through the race. Turns out that he had a pacemaker (I didn't know) he goes to a pay phone, calls some center, puts the phone to his chest, they run some diagnostic through the phone, and adjust it through the phone. I am not making this up. He goes back to running, and says that he feels much better...just needed an adjustment. Those things are amazing...that was 15 years ago, imagine how great they are now. Of course, I accused him of cheating!
  5. Wow...that's quite a list price! 2012 MASTERCRAFT PROSTAR 197 Other in Pewaukee, WI$71,045.00 http://www.boattrader.com/find/listing/MASTERCRAFT-PROSTAR%20197-99219710/?ZMC=Oodle&BAC-Oodle
  6. Dealer doesn't have a clue...O'Brien hasn't responded to my email. I will just start in the middle with the bindings and the fin and figure it out.
  7. Trying to find out what "stock" is????
  8. Thanks Wish...Yes I can approximate a setting then adjust...just looking for a starting point.
  9. where would I find the sixam numbers for 64.5??
  10. It's 2010 model...the one based on the sixam 2.0 /vanilla2/uploads/FileUpload/14/954.jpg
  11. Hi Guys, I just picked up a 64.5 inch O'Brien Siege for my daughter. Intermediate, just learning to cut with some oomph...she is very athletic, but really just getting into slalom. Any ideas about setting this ski up? Where to place the front binding? Ski didn't come with any paperwork or other info...Also, the fin is only adjustable backwards and forwards; any ideas for DFT? or does it really matter? Thanks
  12. Wow...look at him run the 35 off pass. He looks like a guy cruising through 15 off. At two ball it looks like he is warming up at the beginning of the season for free skiing. I know that he is incredible, but how on earth does he make that pass look so slow and simple???
  13. HO just has to step up their marketing...if they called that gap, "the offside turn, pressure relief vent" or something we would all be drooling for it.
  14. If you are leaning towards the PS 205, you may want to think a little more about a closed bow 190. I know that you want the extra room, but, you are really only getting one more seat in the 205. 205s had a walk through to the bow, so you lost one seat there; and you only gain 2 in the bow. Plus, there is a ton of under bow storage in the 190. I guess that it depends on which is more of a priority to you, skiing or the open bow. The 91-94 190 has as good a wake as exists - including today's boats. I have '93 190/ LT-1 and also ski with my buddy's 2009 197...the better wake is on the older boat. Either way, you will have a blast!
  15. I haven't been there in years, but friends of mine have a cottage there. They ski behind an old J-Craft. It's calm most of the time, nice small lake that's good for skiing. Have fun!
  16. JC... A couple of things.... While a CC is a fine boat, and may well be engineered to be lifted by the eyes, you are indeed putting a lot of stress on the hull lifting it in that way. More than a few boats have warped (not saying CC) by sitting askew on the wrong trailer. Also, if you are anything like me, when the boat gets put away, a lot of equipment also gets stored in the boat...barefoot boom, various skis, life jackets, tools etc.. It can add up to a lot of weight. Just sayin', a cradle supporting the boat from underneath with properly set up bunks has to be a better solution. Clearly,
  17. I wouldn't use lifting rings for any thing more a momentary lift...like taking a boat off of a trailer and putting it on blocks. Anything longer than that and I would want a cradle to support the hull properly.
  18. I believe that I have found the ultimate similarity between the two sports... They both cost me a crap can full of money!!!!!!!!! Anyhow, going to Whistler on Saturday!!! See y'a~
  19. Hmmm...shale oil...been waiting on that development since the 1940's. Several countries have been working on this for years and have so far produced almost nothing. I can tell you one thimg though, if they figure it out, it will be very expensive oil. Â Canadian oil from the tar sands actually consumes more energy than it produces.
  20. Don't think that when he said that he "skied in the 20's and 30's" that he meant speed...he was referring to line length...22' off, 28' off etc
  21. If it were me, I would cut it open and try to figure out what is going on..."Hope" is bad strategy./vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif
