  1. Rod I can help you out with anything you need to run your Ski League. My guy who does our scoring/handicapping has it pretty dialed in for making it competitve for skiers at all levels. In 6 seasons we have had 6 different champions. We average 15 skiers a night and usually have about 40 different skiers per season. We just do 1 six pass ride. If you don't like your off the dock score you can take a mulligan for a 2 buoy penalty off your final buoy count. Once your score is set you can finish out your set. If you can pull it together we can plan a Berkeley vs. Sac head to head in the fall which we have done a couple of times. I recommend to anyone doing a Ski League to use the USA Waterski Grassroots program. It's only $25 per event and there are some nice benefits for trophies and shirts. I have a local ski shop cover the sanctioning fees. In return we buy gift certificates totaling the same amount for the top 3 season finishers which makes it a win/win.
  2. How about doing the squares thing. 18 x 18 = 324 And if you don't sell out then issue multiple squares per purchase to fill it up. Do a selection video where Horton's cat can pick the 1/4, 1/2, 1...5 1/4, 5 1/2, 6 for each side. Whoever is top seed in the finals gets one side and the challenger gets the other with the final scores of each skier determining the winner. Should be easy to put together since the cat is doing most of the work. It will make it easier to participate if you don't know the skiers and should draw more players.
  3. Note my RTP prediction. Even Parrish & @shaneh have come back from the dark side. Fruit loops rule!
  4. Here is a non-DBW system for sale. Sounds like the guy might take a lower offer. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/boa/3551101901.html
  5. @rico I have pretty much the same stats as you and I say 68". In 2011 I rode the 67" but have been on the 2012 68" all this year. Haven't tried the 2013 yet but from what I've heard here I'll be on a 68" again.
  6. Just more evidence that @Dirt wasn't taking pictures of cute dogs but really the truck in the background that he will later break into for a couple of D3s.
  7. Interesting how the crime occured when @Dirt took the day off. Either the criminals know when @Dirt is not protecting us skiers or it is @Dirt himself. Just my theory.
  8. What was the ruling on the field? We weren't dealing with replacement refs last weekend.
  9. Entering tomorrow so I'll be on the M3 starting dock with you @ShaneH. Bring plenty of one$ for the open slalom wagering.
  10. '08 was when both systems were included from the factory. There were a few '07s that were converted which required an ECM and wiring harness upgrade.
  11. That '04 used to belong to @schroed. It now lives at Redwood Shores.
  12. @ShaneH you are wrong again! The number plates went up to 125 this year.
  13. Heard Nate got 1.5 @ 43 at Shortline yesterday.
  14. I remember seeing River Mode in my friends 2010 Nautique when changing the wait timer and also curious how it works. I do some skiing in currents and know trick speed has to be adjusted when going upstream or downstream with ZO, the PP paddle wheel worked great for this. I can see jumping downstream to be a big advantage due to the added speed of the current.
  15. Maybe a problem with the Drive by Wire throttle. Seen this happen on a lake boat and would miss at the speed that you would go around a turn island.
  16. It's going to be Badal. He just got 5 yesterday and has 4 more RC rounds on that same lake next weekend. Sure Mapple could do it if he wanted to but Badal is a hungrier dawg.
  17. I think he did, got 4 @ 39 to tie @dirt and won the runoff without a ski. Impressive.
  18. I thought you only got 4 passes in practice so what did he start at? 41?
