  1. Jody, are you in Russia or just avoiding me?
  2. Love that Marcus advances. I see some of Seal's dark horses in there too.
  3. As much as it pains me, John is right, and he's seen me ski. For future reference, the Strada boots (both the single and double plate) fit both the D3 and HO pattern. The Nomad RC is priced right. Hope you can move it quickly.
  4. The new Hyperfreaks got me from 28 to 30 mph. Imagine what a new ski can do for me.
  5. Is there a good reference chart for the various hole patterns? Specifically, will Radar Strada boots (with double mounts) fit a D3 with the D3 hole pattern?
  6. I am size 9 and wear a Strada size 9. It fits perfectly. If you've never been in a similar boot it will feel cramped when new and dry. Not to worry, it will stretch and mold when wet. If it doesn't feel a bit cramped when new and dry it's going to be to big in the end.
  7. You must have decided to send me the Strada
  8. Be sure to send the Strada too.
  9. Since Dave doesn't want the A2, send it on.
  10. Dave, next time Horton pulls a stunt like that we'll have him banned. Last week I bought hyperfreak shorts and ran the full course at 30 mph for the first time ever. Imagine what a Strada could do for me.
  11. Three samples would make it official. Send one to me. I may not fit the "mid level" criteria, but I for sure fall into the "all levels" category.
  12. Jody, I didn't figure Scott could get away with it, given his limited time at home. Maybe this Sunday?
  13. I skied in hyperfreaks Monday for the first time and also made my first full pass at 30 mph (remember I'm a greenhorn). Coincidence??? They were as advertised, no ballooning, and it felt like I was skiing in my birthday suit. I'm sold on them!
  14. I must sit down more than you fella's. I hate the ass end of the 200, no where to sit you or your stuff when getting situated to ski.
  15. The Vice gloves are a tighter fit but true to size (in my experience). I much prefer the tight fit, but thats just me.
  16. Nothing complicates my attempt to ski more than ballooning shorts. They turn my disposition downright irritable. I have a pair of old favorites that need replacing. I tried several new pair that ballooned significantly and I ended up skiing in my Under Armour underwear that day (yes I have pictures to prove it and yes the water was freezing cold that day :) I'll try to round up some of the Hyperfreaks this weekend.
  17. Does anyone know what they're asking for the 2008?
  18. 6ball, I ran a stainless bolt through all of my PVC connections.
  19. Ed, its good to hear that you have little issues with long term use of the poly mainline. Regarding the buoy arms, I went with the larger diameter sch 40 PVC pipe (can't remember the size) with sealed PVC flotation logs. I suspect the arms to last forever. I should probably add fresh zip ties to the logs to keep them on the arms. Is there any other zip ties that I should consider replacing (not including those on the buoy lines)? The zip ties on the buoy lines have a tendency to break with age. They are the only maintenance that I ever perform on the course. I think it'd be wise to replace zip ties anywhere else on the course.
  20. Ed, will I have to start thinking about a stainless cable mainline anytime soon? As previously mentioned, my course never comes out and is going on three years in the water.
  21. Let me qualify this by saying I'm a certified greenhorn. What effect does the boat driver have on the scores? Take the masters for instance, insanely impressive scores across the board on Saturday and unimpressive scores across the board on Sunday in nearly identical conditions. Could it be that the boat driver had a good day on Saturday and a bad day on Sunday?
  22. Another vote for EZ Ed. Great product and a great person to deal with. I've had one of his temporary courses permanently installed for over three years now. Its never been out of the water. I've yet to have one bit of trouble with it, no repairs what so ever. It stays amazingly straight. In the three years I've tightened the anchors maybe three times total.
  23. After two months and approximately 45 sets my Vice Clinchers are ripped in the palm area (not in a seam). The material there seems extremely thin. Bummer.
