  1. Yes it is painful. I've had 5 rib injuries in the last 2.5 years, 4 from skiing. One thing I've learned is that the sooner you can get it back in place the better. It drastically improves healing time. One time I got it put back in the next day and there was almost no recovery time. This time I bought this and I hope it helps prevent them in the future: https://www.evoshield.com/en-us/protective-gear/rib-shirt/adult-performance-rib-shirt
  2. Here are some pics I took at Nationals
  3. @a_bax Thanks for posting! I'm dealing with a rib out of place right now. 7 weeks in and I'm almost healed but not quite. I've had 5 rib injuries in the last 2.5 years, 4 from skiing. This time I bought this and I hope it helps prevent them in the future: https://www.evoshield.com/en-us/protective-gear/rib-shirt/adult-performance-rib-shirt
  4. I'll second the use of Awesome and a scrub brush. I get it at Dollar General. Also agree with rinsing with clean water after.
  5. Both are great skis. I have a Carbon Omni and using Radar binders with feather frames. I had to make the middle holes larger on the front binder to get them to work. I modified the rear toe slightly as well.
  6. Have a course? Definitely water skiing Don't have a course? Snow skiing but it's close still.
  7. @A_B Praying that your friend gets the upper hand.
  8. The sizing chart for the Assault was spot on for me.
  9. I just bought an O'Neill Assault but haven't used it yet.
  10. @Tdub Here is a wiring diagram for your boat: https://www.planetnautique.com/CorrectCraftManuals/WiringDiagrams/03-04SEWiringDiagram.pdf Were you able to measure current draw with your multi meter? Some multimeters don't measure current. If not there is another way to do it. I'm pretty sure I can walk you through resolving this. Feel free to PM me.
  11. Rib injuries last September and again this September in comp vests. Going back to CGA.
  12. I've owned a 2017 5.7 Prostar for about a year and have recently driven and skied behind a SN 200. In the past year I've skied between 24 and 30 mph, 15 off. Roominess + 8 Prostar Wakes - difference negligible Layout - + 10 Prostar Throttle + 2 SN 200 Hull + 2 SN 200 Zero Off interface + 10 Prostar Engine startup + 3 SN 200 Interior quality - + 2 Prostar Seat comfort + 3 Prostar Rudder + 3 SN 200 Bow cover + 5 Prostar Trailer + 2 Prostar Tracking + 2 SN 200 Hole shot - difference negligible I've owned only Nautiques since 1980 until last year and I'm very happy with the Prostar.
  13. Your initial turn in for the gate looks good. Maintain your lean through the wakes and that will get you earlier to 1 ball. At 15 off you can get wider and cut the back side of 1 ball but you have to be earlier to do that. That will put you on a good angle to 2. Lean more behind the boat. (Stack, you mentioned that.) All things I"m working on.
  14. @vtmecheng No question boats have outpaced inflation but it didn't just start yesterday. 20,000 for a 1993 Nautique 30,000 for a 2002 (1 year old) Nautique.
  15. @Bjkesler I paid 9,000 for a new Nautique in 1980
  16. @powbmps Have you tried removing the seat bottom from the jump seat? I take my bimini down so I never have to remove from the guides. My biggest complaint is having to idle down each time you crank it even when the engine is warm. Haven't had to do that with other boats. I LOVE this boat!
  17. I have a Carbon Omni and had a Senate C (which is basically the current Senate Graphite) They're both great skis and you'll be thrilled with either one.
  18. I have the Radar Vector Boa too and I like it. It was somewhat difficult to get on when new but it's easy now that it's broken in.
  19. I would suggest trying the Union on the course first (before you buy another ski) and see how you do.
  20. I agree with your idea of getting a 69" Union or a Katana and skiing the course at 24 mph. I was skiing the course at the end of last year on a Katana at 24 mph. Now at 30 mph on a Carbon Omni. Get on the course and post videos. People on here will be glad to help.
  21. I start like this: except I keep my chest closer to my front knee longer.
