  1. @BlueSki thanks for the input, I'm currently running intuition liners and only have a couple of sets on the r style. @mmosley899 thanks for the offer, I might pick your brain a bit more as Ive been on the OB4 website a bunch but I've never seen one in the flesh nor know of anyone using the system. Are there any components that wouldn't mix well with salt water?
  2. I'm lucky to be still rockin a pony tail with full cover at 51. I go to a "salon" with about 20 chairs that are staffed by 80% hotties. I swear every time I go in there I'm the only dude.
  3. @BlueSki were you running the r style buckles tight like Mapple suggests or we're you running them loose? I'm currently trying out the Reflex w/ r style as I was on Fogmans for quite a while. Not sure the r style is giving me enough ankle support I need to ski pain free. I might cut up my Fogman and try that in place of the r style. Seems the heel cup on the Fogman offers some rigidity to the shell.
  4. There was an interesting article posted by @Horton a while back about the quickest way to -32. It was all about body position behind the boat. It was a great write up on getting into, and holding that good stacked position.
  5. Just after New Years Day in sunny Florida. I think the Baller index was about 150!!!!
  6. @thager‌ Agreed. When we're done, we pull the gates and the turn buoys, takes about 11 minutes.
  7. Just another ZO conversion if your interested. Boat still has a kick @22 off but otherwise pretty good reviews from most skiers/drivers. http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=57937&highlight=conversion
  8. @GOODESkier‌ trying to emulate a podium skier by using his/her equipment is a bit silly. I could care less what other pro skiers are using. I know what works for me. I don't use Stealths but I am using Fogman hardshells w/ Fogman releases. I'm using them because of physical limitations/comfort. And being behind the boat and competing is paramount to whatever the big boys are doing.
  9. Boat is a 96' PS 190 Discount Inboard Marine has a MPI 305 that puts out 308 HP & has e control for $8120 has anyone gone this route? Boat currently has the standard 275HP TBI motor. My current set up should be sellable, it was rebuilt a few years ago, closed cooling, PPSG etc. Occasionally people pop up on Team Talk looking for a motor. They buy a project boat that was used in salt and everthing is trashed, pulleys, mounts the works. I figure my set up complete less the tranny is worth 3K delivered. I dont want to upgrade to a ZO boat for a few reasons: 1- Being from Long Island,NY and running in salt my boat is really hard to sell. 2- I love my boat. 3- I just got a new galvanised trailer.4- I would have to travel to find the right boat,& it probably wont have closed cooling. 5- I refuse to own an open bow so that has its limitations. 6- I'll say it again, i love my boat, it fits the bill as bare bones ski tug. drives and skis great, Easy to maintain, no trunk, excess vinyl, and bling to worry about. Looking for any input or suggestions. Thanks.
  10. Tournament PB 3@ 35 one buoy increase from last year. Two more tourneys in the Northeast, now if I can just turn 4........
  11. Home site: drive 14 miles to marina, could take 17 min. or 55 min. if its rush hour.Launch boat, drive 10 min. to site, clip on turn buoys, ski, unclip buoys, return to marina & douche everything cause its salt water. Private site: drive 68 miles north of NYC, go skiing, drive home. Either way it's a minimum 4 hour commitment. And I can't wait to go skiing!
  12. I'll hold onto old skis until I can pass them on. Kinda gives me a nice fuzzy feeling inside.
  13. Mach Snot Used to describe inefficient speed. Example: Dude, you jumped right on the handle @ one and that made you come into two at Mach Snot
  14. That Bimini is going to be an issue at longline.
  15. What liners do you use and why? I'm running Fogman Hardshells and I got a couple of good years out of those liners. Some liners are moldable and some are'nt correct? My only concern is the low cuff on the Fogmans HS vs the higher cuff on most of the other liners. Thanks
  16. Tournament skiers should run their opener 99.9 % of the time, I think I read that here. So do whatever it takes to run that opener easy. Some may disagree but for me I want my forth pass to be my hardest.
  17. Tourney PB was 2 @ 35 last year. Goal is to get more consistent @ -32 in tournaments and get deep -35 regularly.
  18. @estrom I believe the 200 has much more wetted surface then the CP
  19. Is anyone working on a Zero Off conversion for pre 2002 boats without doing a total repower?
  20. @Krlee no need to get on board with Centurion when Correct Craft had been nailing the slalom scene for years.
  21. FWIW when I head south to FL in the off season I ski behind a 08' 196 That boat has quite a kick at 32 MPH 22 off. Unfortunately that is where I'm at and where I want to stay for a few weeks.34MPH at 22 is better, and everything after that is dreamy! No complaints about the 200 at 32mph 22 off. Limited time behind the wheel of the 200 but the 196 my grandmother could drive!
  22. Lots of ankle issues. Was almost done a few years ago but a special brace, lots of PT, and hardshells are keeping me in the game.
  23. Pretty sure i know the answer to this question but i need to put it out there anyway. Any slalom courses in or near Key West? I'll be in FL. 01/18 thru 01/25 and in Key West 21 thru 24. I wont have a car as I'm taking the ferry down from Ft Meyers. Thanks
