  1. No offense intended, but really? It's the US Nationals.... I guess a top rated FL skier should ride up to NY and win State. Just saying. One of my best friends spent 6+ years getting his citizenship. He he did it so he could be a part of this country and enjoy it's benefits. One of those is skiing at Nationals. If it's not going to be "US" Nationals, rename it to the West Palm Fall Record.... My 2 cents.
  2. Update - lost 17 lbs Skied for the first time last week. Ran the ugliest / easiest ugly 22 off ever off the dock. Looking forward to shorting the rope and staying light on the line...
  3. Thanks @Horton.... The panda is funny. For the record, for clarity, I'm not for a break through that puts everyone on the same level. I would rather continue struggling at 32 off. The Big Dawgs give me something to shoot for. Besides, there was a time when I said " if I ever run 22 I will be happy. " Just trying to get real about what we really want out of the next big thing and wondering how to make the sport more interesting for spectators.
  4. Thought about this in the thread about Radar's future. Sure, we would all get one and it would be the greatest thing ever until we all showed up at the next tournament. Then it would suck. Random thought - what about a "factory ride" division? I hate restrictor plate racing, but I would like to see a tournament of big dawns riding current year bone stock sticks with factory settings +/-.001". Do you think it would change anything? Do you think we will ever see a de-tuned pro division due to the lack of variety on the podium? Just a thought. My brain must be numb from disappointing super bowl commercials.
  5. I'm going with @inboardfix the first time.... Stupid Crazy Like @ShaneH I've been there and had the same thought day after only to try to "refine" the process and try again... this one is not worth the video. Leads me to this question, what is the best way to get video? For cool shots? For coaching?
  6. My history / results of hitting the buoy are well documented by Bluecross Blueshield... Now they are all half filled with water.

    Txi or 200

@shaneh - I don't know you, but thank you for shooting straight. I figured you would be hardcore CC based on the dealer I think you ski with. Well done. That's one of the many reasons BOS rocks. I love both boats. However, both of my kids ski and we are on a public lake from time to time. We couldn't get all of our junk in the 200. (I didn't want to stack my skis in the locker and didn't feel like I had room to lay them in the floor next to the locker.) We ended up with a TXI and it works well for us. Outherwise, I don't have anything negative to say about the CC.
  8. 38 My wife had a great thought. She said I need to add one every year after I add 2 to match my age. See y'all at 2 new tournaments soon...
  9. And she is hot as Georgia asphalt on the 4th of July....
  10. Thanks guys I appreciate the ideas. Even though I'm not sure to pull off Tgas parents place....
  11. It may be another new year talking, but I was wondering about a Baller Bucket List. Any thoughts on the top 10 places a Baller should ski before they kick the bucket? One of my favorite places is on a river north of Childersburg, AL. Nobody is ever there. There is an east/west section and a north/south section so wind isn't an issue. It always has great water. Usually glass. Only issue is no course. Makes my list. I'm curious about the top ten. Just in case I take a road trip...
  12. We attended a BD event this year. It was a great time. Mainly due to the skiers attitudes and the format. We go to the Masters every year to see the pros. To me they are completely different events. Just my two cents, but I would rather have seen the addition of a Sr event based on age if they feel like its needed. A runner up Sr event does not make sense. As far as ex-pros are concerned, add a BD Pro division. Anyone that has ever had a top 15 open rating. (or something like that) To me that makes sense.
  13. @shaneh - I appreciate the info. I didn't realize that was the design. I saw the pictures and made an incorrect assumption. I guess it's true what they say about assumptions.
  14. RTM might not be the right term. I was referring to the process of pulling in the resin with a vacuum on the mold. It is my assumption that is a more consistent process. Either way, sounds like an exciting relationship for both. I want to try the AM, but I've trying to get more consistent on my current ride first. Stradas are already great. It would be interesting if this would improve their existing process / performance.
  15. Is it going to be made with "traditional" technology our the the "RTM" like process that AM was using? If RTM, can we look forward to a RTM Strada in 2014 or 2015?
  16. @richarddoane - I'm sure there are others, but my first guess at what long line taste like is fried Spam...
  17. Background - I'm currently trying to loose about 15lbs. I've convinced myself and my wife that this is the key to me breaking through my 32 off barrier. Today, I was on the phone with my wife. I told her that I was tempted to go by McDonalds and get a #3, large sized. Basically, I'm tired of the clean eating... Her response hit square in the gut. She simply replied "McDonalds tastes like 15 off". I drove on and stopped somewhere and ate grilled fish. After 17 years of marriage, she has finally figured out how to motivate me with words. (her other motivation tools have worked since day one...)
  18. I finally decided to try a binding binding. I should have taken video. I didn't get up the first two attempts. The ski flopped to the left. (RFF skier) them, the ski was overturning 1, would not turn 2.... I typically run 22, 28 and a few at 32 at 34.2. Today I was a consistent 2, didn't matter the line length. Any thoughts? I'm going to check the fin tonight. The binder was at same location 29.5". And appears to be in the middle of the factory plate. (side to side - not sure if the red guides actually impact alignment)
  19. I don't doubt that he is great, but there will never be another AM.
  20. Took my wife and girls (10 & 11). We all had a great time for different reasons. My wife and I spent two days watching awesome skiing. We saw different styles yield amazing results. Those guys are incredible. They are unmatched in skill and endurance. My oldest girl was stoked each time someone ran a 39. She was really excited about seeing the guys take a shot at the record. My youngest was fired up about meeting "the guy that owns that silly website daddy looks at all the time". We met lots of ballers, learned a lot and had great time. I wasn't a fan before, but now I think head to head is the way to present pro slalom. Sunday my kids didn't want to leave until it was over. 3 big take aways: Chad was as good as the hype. Kris proved to me I've still got time. John was the most famous "mediocre" skier on the planet, until I saw him run 2@39. Hair has skills....
  21. Why have a MM and M3? I just looked at the rankings on USA Waterski. The top skiers are pretty much the same people in both? Is there a qualification to ski MM? Do they ski both events at Nationals? Probably dumb questions....
  22. That is great service! Hopefully Drew will bring on another generation of the Elite line.
  23. They do have great customer service with limits. They want take a ski on a trade... (you can't blame me for trying) I've got a 66" quattro that I rode 8 sets or less. It was not the ski for me. I would sell it for $500. Let me know if you are interested or want to see pictures. mray 95 at g mail dot com
