@AdamCord thank you for this post. I've always wanted to build a ski just for fun. Are you going to add any suggestions on where to get the materials needed? (Later in the process)

When the driver is watching you ski over their shoulder (both side) and the resulting boat path looks like a drunk monkey was driving.

T series @horton - this survey alone should be worth some $$ for BOS. Should give some good intel on buzz and marketing impact.

I once had a CWB board that was slick on the bottom. (Before molded fins) it was yellow and red with a dragon on it. Spun like a top with no fins. It might make a great trick ski for you. I will see if I can track it down. Looked like the CWB Vibe with different graphics. BTW - awesome to see you continuing to push forward and advance. It is inspirational to all skiers!

A five gallon can turned over in my truck and poured a couple of gallons out on my daughters jacket. Any way to get it out or do I just order another one? I've never seen that type of can turn over before. Got two ski socks and a life jacket. Make sure you do a better job tieng your up.

@horton I thought that might be the case. I can resist the temptation, but it is a great shirt. What's the eta on the others? Can we get them by Christmas?

Not a great photo (iPhone) but its a full moon and the water has barely a ripple. Thinking about trying to talk the wife into a midnight ski set on this ole public lake. Reminds me of a similar night in 1989. Pulled a buddy through a bunch of ducks about 10:00 one night by the light of the moon. We were in high school and using my uncles CC. As luck would have it he was hanging out at a friends in the same slough. Busted... Actually, he thought is was funny. I'm sure you have similar stories. Let's hear it.

This thread has amazed me. @Horton is a better man than me. My two cents: The only folks that want PEDs are the ones who think they can't compete straight up. It's the Big Dawgs decision. If they decide you have use wooden skis, that's what you'll ride. If you want it your way, have it your way. Start a Juiced Dawg series. I'm a hack that loves the sport. No chance at being a Big Dawg. If the devil walks up and offers me an outlawed 41 off pill I may take it. So I can just run it to see how the rest of y'all live. I be damned if I take it to cheat anyone out of a win. My two cents.

That is the wrong conditions to barefoot...

First, I have to admit this was not my idea. Frankly I was a little reluctant. In the end I did it for my girls. (Thanks Michelle, Rhoni and Anna for talking me into it.) My wife, Michelle, and I decided to "sponsor" a Jr. High girls trick ski team. We took our two girls and 6 of their friends and started a team. We chose trick due to time constraints and equipment. Our plan was to try to have practice two days a week July, August and Sept. We are taking them to a tournament on 9/20. Stats: First practice - 1 girl had been on combo tricks before. 2 of the girls had skied before. (3 could ski, 5 could not) 2 girls let me know they couldn't start practicing until second week of August. 17th practice (today) - 1 girl has quit. We have the following combo trick runs constantly in practice: Girl 1 - sideslide Girl 2 - sideslide, reverse Girl 3 - sideslide, reverse Girl 4 - sideslide, reverse, 360 Girl 5 - sideslide, reverse, 360, reverse, FB, BF Girl 6 - sideslide, reverse, 360, reverse, FB, BF Girl 7 - sideslide, reverse, 360, reverse, FB, BF, FB reverse, BF reverse They have amazed me. They have overcome a lot. Missed practices, crazy weather and terrible coaching. Four of the girls are now better than me and my wife.... We have had a great summer. We laughed, they cried. (what do expect with a bunch of girls) I need to thank Inboard Solutions for finding us a deal on some skis and Performance for tracking down 3 copies of a trick skiing video. It was worth every dime and has helped me appreciate my skiing more. If you can, you should try to do something like this. They call themselves the Ski Divas.

There msy be a better way, but this is what I've done. Go to a car wash. Put the sprayer on soap. Cover the carpet with as little as possible. (It goes a long way) Pressure wash the soap out. Be careful around the vinyl.

@ALPJr - I didn't mean to high jack your post earlier. Apparently, I'm more ADD than I thought. Your idea has merit and I wish they would. My concern is they are more likely to spend their $$ on the bigger groups. I think we have to add a little sparkle to what we have to pull the larger group back. Your idea adds the sparkle if we can just sell the manufactures on it.

I've done both and continue to do both. However, no issues with airlines, UPS destroyed one. Get the insurance.

My first thought - can I hook it to a hose pipe and use it to pump anti freeze into the boat though the flush connection. If so, that is a great add to my boat house.

In addition to the current Nationals: What about a different type of "national" tournament? Sanction 3 round record tournaments in every state on the same day. (I know this makes the traditional guys roll their eyes, different conditions, blah, blah) Develop a ranking list from all of the tournaments using the 3 round cumulative scores. As a prize, the Water Skier could do a short Bio with photo of each of the 252 top three finishers or put something on the website. (According to my math, you end up with 252 podium finishers.) My math: 28 divisions X 3 (slalom, trick, jump) = 84 84 X 3 places = 252 place Key to the tournament is consistency. Heck expand it across the pond, make it the worlds largest tournament. Cool tee shirt and I could be a part of a world record...

I remove the dowl and use a smaller diameter handle. Works great for me for 10 years. I take one set with, one set with regular / normal diameter handle.
