  1. Mine has the quick disconnect also. Remove 2 pins from where it connects to the ski platform, but don't have to loosen the hose clamps. Our platform lifts up to come completely off however, it doesn't hinge down.
  2. We put it on our 99 Malibu Response lx a few years ago, and had no problems. Huge improvement in reduced sound. The people in the back seat can actually talk to each other now during our family outings, and don't have the exhaust smell while idling.
  3. I moved my bindings forward a notch and that helped when I was having that issue.
  4. On a side note, I encourage my skiers to say "gear" then "hit it" or "okay", and to not say "go" because "go" could sound like "no" to the driver.
  5. I always ended up with puddles on the port and starboard sides of the motor box, even with a pole in front and another pole behind the motor box set as high as possible. I ended up creating a self standing pvc pole that sits on either side of the motor box where the puddle would normally be.
  6. Expanding on what @tru-jack said, you could put it in an "All-Six pack".
  7. I found that the 2017 Radar Senate is easier to get up on than the 2015. Maybe because the tail is square instead of rounded, or other factors that put more surface area on the tail of the ski. Those are just guesses, but I was pleasantly surprised. Also went from the Alloy to the Graphite. Everything about the newer ski was better. It was faster, lighter, more controllable, more forgiving, and easier to get up on. I tend to push with both feet to get up, so more surface to the rear helps me. I wonder if you put your boot a notch forward if that would help for the same reason.
  8. I was told a long time ago that you shouldn't need to go more than 36mph if your technique is good.
  9. Ozzy Man is awesome. I cracked up when he said "Half of the competitors ended up in destination F'd". I saw his review of the "Best Gymnastic Routine Again 10/10" and wish more sport casters talked like him. So funny.
  10. Netflix has an informative documentary following some of the F1 teams recently. Pretty eye opening how often crashes occur and how on the edge they are driving. It's called Formula 1: Drive to survive, I think.
  11. Now there's one comment that they are 2mm and another that they are 1.5mm. So maybe the full suit is 2mm and the partial suits are 1.5mm? I say this because most ads state the full suit is 2mm. But it's still not clear.
  12. The ads for 2mm show a wetsuit with 1.5 on the sleeves. So how do you know if you have a 1.5 or a 2mm Camaro wetsuit?
  13. Do you recommend the 1.5mm or 2mm full Blactec suit?
  14. I got the bug watching Hot Summer Nights, thinking "I could totally do that!". Turns out I can't, but it's sure fun trying. Slalom course skiing reminds me of those old video games where you never actually win. You just keep trying to get to the next level, and when you do, there's another even harder level. Water skiing is more than just fun. It's like and addiction/craving that your body just needs to do. It's very hard to understand people that just want to go for a boat ride without having someone in tow. And they can't understand us:).
  15. If you want the very best hiking, come up to Kalispell, Montana and do the Glacier park day hikes. Ptarmigan Tunnel is a really good hike. Glacier Park is about 30 minutes from Kalispell. Lots of people on the new Rosewater ski lakes that would be happy to pull you.
  16. Any bigger guys use one? I'm 6'1, 210lbs, with a 34" waist and 45" chest. The size chart shows a 3xl for 6'8 guys, 210lbs, and 44" chest. So according to that, they don't have my size.
  17. @swc5150 and @Weappa. The search interface wasn't programmed very user friendly. You have type type the name (or sport category), and then select from the list of suggested search results. So you can't just type Nate Smith and press Enter. You have to type Nate Smith, then click on the "Nate Smith" just under where you are typing to select that search phrase. So @Horton, I would give the panda to the web site programmers:).
  18. And what's your max speed and shortest length you run consistently.
  19. @thager you know what they say about a guy with big feet.........probably a clown:)
  20. In high school, I won a science award in the NW states. And then lost at the next level in the western states region to a kid who built a carburetor that got over 100mpg, and used it in his car to drive to Great Falls, Montana from somewhere in California. This was back in 1981.
  21. We just need boats powered by water. Some guy recently showed where he was using a certain frequency of sound to break apart h2o into hho. It was way more efficient than using electrolysis. You'd basically have the same engine, but no need for the fuel tank, since the whole lake would be your tank.
  22. First day of two week vacation, we set up portable slalom course in front of the rented cabin. First pass through the entry gates, I thought I was going to hit the buoy (and didn't want to pop it), so flattened the ski right at the wake to avoid it. The ski went left and I kept going forward. Broke my ankle. Too make it even more stupid, I thought I just sprained my ankle (even though it was huge and purple), so kept skiing that vacation and the next month before summer was over. Had doctor x-ray it at the end of summer because I still had no strength in it, and he said it had been broken. Luckily it healed okay, so I didn't have to get it re-set.
  23. 2000 Malibu Response Lx is also really good.
