  1. Anything bent underneath that might make the boat crab a bit?
  2. Just the right amount of Teflon tape and tighten with strap wrench. Hasn’t budged.
  3. Throw the current Prostar hull under the 20’ current MC V-drive.
  4. Wasn’t hard to find a short clip and another pic. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0hf5dJRe1kPtNqdciHe3rAE4yLc1CeH6mwgoeLdC1xcu2uhLodgsNwUuZfL1HG2JDl&id=515972928
  5. Looks like a great flow through under the wind screen design for the warm weather.
  6. Mid stretch S-lines has exactly the same stretch amount as the ML opt2. Broke both in and then tied to hitch at 28 and did a stretch test.
  7. Correct me if I’m wrong but if you use a boom Nautiques in that era power washed you unless you had a boom extension to get away from the spray. Prostar would be good. But probably the best all around for lack of spray, good barefoot/ski wake and top speed would be a late ‘90 response.
  8. @skibrain I have the older black version of this, https://radarskis.com/products/drifter-impact-vest and it is smooth skin. Zero abrasiveness, super comfy. Not sure if the new one is the same material. Looks like it from the pic.
  9. @Windsurfnut have not sorry. Have been on Senates forever. I will give a brief thought on the 20 Vapor vs the 20 Senate as the similar attributes will likely apply even though the 22 lineup has a different shape than the 22. Skied both 20’s back to back. Both the 20 Vapor/Senate were set to factory specs with the exception of 8 degree wing for both. The 20 Vapor had slightly more drag as I rode it flat waiting to pull out. That is to be expected as it is a narrower ski. This isn’t a bad thing as this would allow the ski to slow down slightly quicker coming into the turns. The Vapor turned well and generated good speed on the pull. It was easy to move between skis. I would say if you are in good physical condition, an aggressive course skier and ski 34-36 the Vapor is the way to go. If you are in less than ideal condition (older) or just like a ski which rides with a little less effort and ski 30-34 the Senate is a great choice. As I fall into the latter category the Senate makes more sense for me. I ski 32 mph, 15-28 off. Both skis will get you to short line. As always try them both if you can.
  10. Yeh…Sorry. Bad timing. It’s something new they just started to offer.
  11. They final got this design live and ready to go. Many colors and 4 different sized available. Select to pay in USD or CDN Dollars from the drop down menu depending on your location. 12. The link has gone live finally! Prices start at $98 USD and go up from there depending on size. Slightly less if you don't go the powder coated route and leave bare Aluminum. You can click on USD or CDN pricing depending on where you are located. While you're on the site have a look around, lots of other designs available for your home or cottage. No kick backs on this for me just hope you guys enjoy. https://www.metalsignscanada.com/en-us/collections/new-arrivals/products/water-ski-personalized?variant=41499257340094 @Skoot1123 @Cooljoeluke @LoopSki @MitchellM @bananaron @ironhorse @TEL
  13. @LoopSki I ski same range. 32 mph, 15-28 off. 67”. 185lbs. 5’10. Had a 20 Senate Pro and now a 22 Senate Lithium. Ski well on either ski. The 22 being a new shape. For me the noticeable difference was that the 20 carries a slightly wider arcing turn than the 22. The 22 smears the rear more so comes around a little quicker. You can push the 20 to turn hard as well just doesn’t do it as naturally. With the 22 it’s more automatic. Either ski is easy to ski and won’t hold you back. Try both if you can and see which suites your style better. If you just have to grab one without a demo take the 22 Senate Lithium. You won’t be disappointed.
  14. They are working on it...slowly it seems. Let you know when its good to go.
  15. Sign Co will post the metal sign options (sizes, prices, colors, etc.) next week on their site. I have no more info at this time. As soon as I hear that its done I will post the link in this thread or possibly start a new one for ease of ordering for those interested.
  16. Will contact the sign company this week and see what we can put together.
  17. Everything is well done! So appreciate that we can have this level of coverage. Always enjoy it. Thanks to ALL involved.
  18. @Skoot1123 think the biggest is 30”. @Cooljoeluke the cost would be lower than what I paid as the sign company has the artwork now. Would depend of course on size and if you go with plain or powder coat. My guess is around $150 USD but could be way off. @LoopSki the current graphic is not a perfect round as you can see. Could possibly be made that shape and size. Will wait a few days to see what other questions come up then compile them in one email to the supplier for a reply.
  19. Had a very difficult if not impossible time finding waterski specific custom metal signs so I sent a graphic I had to a metal sign company to personalize for our lake place. Is there a demand for metal signs like this? Is there a company out there, other than the one that I dealt with, that makes something like this? Trying to judge interest to see if it’s worth making another one or two similar graphics (maybe with a different 'generic' boat brand) for the sign company to produce and offer to Ballers. Personalized with your name, location , etc of course. This one is 24” wide and bare aluminum. But is available in various powder coated colors as well.
  20. Guys that don’t bring what they need to ski and assume you will provide it. Example, Invite a guy from around the lake to go skiing. His turn…he says where’s your soap? What, you didn’t bring your own…we don’t have no stinking soap! Haven’t needed that since moving to Radar boots like well over 10 years ago!! So, he struggles to get his boots on or we have to take a run back to the dock. We always choose option #1. Lol.
  21. Ski 32 mph 22 off, 28 off on a good day. Have had a few 67” Senates. 17, 19, 20 and now on a 22. 17-20 they seemed to be tweaked to be just a little better than the previous version, but nothing radical, which is good because it was super easy to get on the new version and be comfortable very quickly. The 22 shape is different. Still easy to adapt to. But the biggest difference is how the ski turns. It carves a tighter, quicker arc. The back of the ski smears more. That helps you to get back to the pulling phase faster and reduces potential of slack line as the ski does not run down course as much in the turn. I skied the 19 and 22 back to back. Both good skis but that was what I noticed the most. There are probably other things some others could chime in on that they noticed. I would pull the trigger on the 22. Either the Vapor or Senate. Can’t go wrong. Try before you buy if you can.
  22. Very hard to determine from the picture but deadrise looks like the typical Aussie 18 degree, planked bottom hull. The Sanger outboards are running a little less deadrise around 15-16 degrees IIRC which made for a bit smaller wakes between the 2 boats. Remember skiing behind both back to back in the early 90’s. Cool that someone is building a new outboard these days. Can’t wait to hear the reports once it hits the water.
  23. Have had both systems. Perfect Pass was OK and customer service was great. Could never get it set up were it did not come in hot on the short end of the course and then back off between 1-2 ball causing slack ruining half the passes of a set. Frustrating. Seemed to need more distance to settle so it worked better on the longer set up end of the course. Zero off, always consistent, no screwing around/tinkering. Was very happy to get back to Zero Off.
  24. A Radar Senate in the build that fits your budget is a great option. Probably a 65” at your posted weight of 150. Good luck in your search.
