    Gear Bag

med size plastic laundry basket. I have seen jumpers use them a bunch. They have rope, knee braces, helmet, sling, jump suit, gloves.... all in one place.
  3. @Razorross3 I think you mean M2 to M3. M3 & M4 both ski 34
  4. @mwetskier. Most upper level trick skiers can do it. I don't want to be the driver and have to see boat path video. It is VERY hard to drive. Lets really trick it up and if you can do it at 19.3 MPH with a flip between each buoy..........I think @MAD has video of that
  5. @mlusa I think maybe I did not express myself very well. The thread started with a skier on a wooden combe pair of skis doing basic surface tricks, looking for a new ski. Then someone posted to "go with a rubber edge ski. They are the best for toe tricks" Eric Lee and Horton both questioned the rubber edge recommedation for the level the skier was at. I agreed with Eric Lee and Horton that a rubber edge was maybe not the right direction. My comment about the rubber edge being geared for upper level toes, was a effort to explain to a beginning tricker the basic differances between the two types of edges. If a novice tricker, asked you the differance between a hard edge, and rubber edge ski, and the intended use, how would you respond? Big scores are going up on both types. I think Erica and Adam both rode rubber edge for toes and hard edge for hands at Nationals. Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks at U21. The handles look GREAT!!!!!!
  6. @tfriess I agree, hard edge for the level you are at. The rubber edge is geared for upper level toes.
  7. @sunperch Looks like the ones on e bay are new and they have six. Cost 55.00 each. Not sure how that compares to what the dealers sells them for. Hope that helps.
  8. @sunperch I was on ebay yesterday and some one had a drain plug for sale. My first thought was "why is someone selling a drain plug" I don't remember the price. Do a search for nautique. If the seller is local to you, it may be yours. Call the cops. Good luck. Sorry to hear that your boat shed got hit. My guess is that other things got stolen also. Sorry
  9. @teammalibu It only takes a hour if I am a hour away. Sometimes, it only takes 30 mins. Depends on where I am at.
  10. @horton sent you a e-mail @klindy Wow thanks for the vote of confidence.LOL
  11. @otisg Wow they are in great shape. I think they are a few years older than the pair that I have. You should have NO problem selling them at a pretty good price. If I did not have a pair slightly newer, I would buy them and put them into storage for the day that I may have grandkids. They are what @ms needs to start with. Perfect to teach a 9 or 10 year old girl!!!!!
  12. @chef23 Glad you are seeing good results. I think that it is skier to skier thing. A b2 skier, getting ready for b3, if he has good fundamentals is probably ok on 80. A nine or ten year old girl, should not be on 80 for her first ride overs in my mind. Looks like @ms is getting good advice on finding old grimditch skis. My concern is with a inproper landing that does knee damage to young skiers that get out of balance. I am sure that many will come on here and call bs, I just know what worked for us. Do you buy a new 62 inch A3 to teach someone to run the mini-course, (with power shell bindings. Match the ski to the ability of the skier. I bet Jay Bennett has short skis and a short ramp to teach beginners.
  13. @ms The ep jumpers that I have are the Wayne Grimditch version. I think they were also known as Gstar. The older EP's are the same skis. No, mine are not for sale. The edges and bottoms are perfect and my son last jumped on them when he was about 11 or 12. He went about 80 feet on them. Now on 90 inch D3 and going much further. LOL Good times. I know Scott Greenwood had a pair that were older than mine and don't think thet were the Grimditch version, Not sure if he still has them or not. Sam was riding them about the same time my son was on his. Good luck finding exactly what you are looking for.
  14. @ms The old short EP's are perfect to teach on, and hard to find in good shape. Jump on getting them if you get a chance. (No pun inteded) Beware of falling into the trap of 80 inch plus skis for kids going less than 75 feet.
  15. @wish Jenny Kaldor, Alison Lindy, & Alyssa Chayer @MS Nice job by the midwest. How much time do they spend in the dirty south?
  16. @MIskier You are never too old to try and learn new things. That's what helps to keep us young. A pair of trick skis can be a eye opening experience in more ways than one.
  17. @MISkier. There is a whole other side of this sport called 3 event skiing. You use a trick ski and jump skis for it. You should get off your slalom ski and try it sometime. It's really fun and a challange.
  18. Anyone else having problems getting scores??? It was working great till about a hour ago. Not getting anything now.
  19. @klindy Who's bag are you carrying???? Remember to tell him to wait on the wake on his W5F and TWBB. Thanks and keep out of trouble.
  20. @mattp Plus five is good. Is that practice or tourn. If practice, how does it relate to tourn?
  21. Wonder who was most over what they predicted and who fell the most short?
  22. Thats why I asked the question. I knew there was a gate fee. Pretty LAME to not support the event and come on her wondering if they are doing it again this year. WOW
  23. @wish Just wondering why you stayed outside the fence? Was there a gate fee?
  24. @skoot1123 He is on the list to ski this years Nationals. He has his open rating for about two more weeks.
  25. @webbdawg99 I did see that there will be one at nationals. Not sure if I saw it on the website or the facebook page.
