  1. We had Ed Brazil survey the site before course instalation, we have close to 1800 ft straight before the turn, the course is set at a slight angle to the shoreline to give us maximum distance. We decided to use an 8 buoy overlapping course. We have straight start in and do not need to spin up, even at 36 mph. There have been no complaints about the set up or the overlapping course. Other lakes have this set up and host tourneys, including record tourneys.
  2. Anyone interested in skiing with us at LaPoint Ski Park let me know. We will be offering a limited number of memberships. We will also offer alacarte ski sets for a limited time only. Here is your chance to be a member at Kris LaPoints personal private ski site! We will offer an out of state rate for those that travel to Florida to ski and want to be locked in to have a sweet place to ski! Our site has excellent wind protection and never has sun glare. We are less than 2 miles to Performance Ski and Surf. Call me for details 330 283-2599 or send me a message
  3. Hey, it was great meeting Mark and his son this weekend! Thanks for nice post. We have been having a blast at LaPoint Ski Park getting a great start to our season. Air temps were in the mid to upper 80s today, @scarletarrow ran a season PB today of 3 @22off! Looking forward to having @johncox over to ski this weekend.
  4. I have a brand new site less than 5 minutes from universal, I will be there Easter week and can get you sets. Contact me by email or call 330 283-2599
  5. May be there with my son, we will be on our way to Coble Ski School for there final week. My son is stuck at 34 MPH trying to complete that pass, can get 3 or 4 everytime, needs to shorten the line to quailfy for nationals next year.
  6. ScarletArrow, thats only if I run 39 in the 1st round! Sorry no free lunch on me.
  7. I am so proud of Leslie (g2) and Curtis (b2)!!! They went out in the first round of the first OH tourney and BLEW there PB's out of the water! Leslie was 3rd off the dock and had never run her 23 mph pass in competition nor in practice last year, she went out at 21 mph long line and ran 4 full passes and ended up with 3 at 28mph!! That was fun to watch. Next off the dock was Curtis, his best last year was 2 or 3 at 24.9mph, this touney he opened up at 24.9 and ran 4 full passes and ended up with 3 at 32 mph!! It is so fun to watch kids have fun skiing, especially when they are your own. Thanks to Greg for putting the OH BBT Tour together! Any other proud parents out there?
  8. I'm putting my money on Regina running it first
  9. I tried a S2 in Acapulco at Gordon's place in February, I liked it but by the end of the week I went back on my S1 because I am not ready to buy one. It skied nice, maybe a little easier to get width, but I love skiing on my S1. Ohio just had our first Buckeye Buoy Stop and I ran a 38 for only the second time in a touney on my S1!
  10. Guys thanks for the comments. John, yes I would love for you to get me a drink, thanks. Running 38 was totally unexpected, I was happy with getting 35. The real thrill of the day was actually my wife running her 1st full pass in a tournament the same day. She started skiing maybe 4 years ago, and has grown to love skiing the way we all do!!
  11. I like what Marco brought up. Why is it required to attend a regional event if you have already quailified for nationals? I finally qualified this year, and really would like to participate, but will be on a family vacation during regionals.
