  1. Thanks wettek69. Sivota, apologies for any confusion caused.
  2. You will quickly get used to the fit. I hardly synch mine at all now and rely on the lower lacing to snug my foot. What weight are you and what size Omni did you go for?
  3. wettek69, see where you're coming from. I had the same question when I bought it. Definitely inside as advised by Eddie. Been using it last few seasons that way. Tongue fits nicely to contour of your shin. If you try to wear it on the outside it will not stay in place against shin and also displace the velcro connection between the boot liner and the shell. You can already see this effect from your second photo above. Great comfortable binding but remember as per the instruction label attached, not to synch the top bungee too tight. It will be nice and secure with lighter tension.Your release relies on the bungee stretching to allow the boot to open up.
  4. Sorry Lee think I misread your question. The main line on ours has actually got small lead weights crimpedalong it’s length every few metres. As long as it’s kept under tension it’s fine and neither sinks or floats.
  5. Lee, there are some posts on BOS re this. I believe the solution to prevent the pipes sagging is to place buoyancy inside the hollow tubes. 1 to 1.5 m length of pipe insulation inserted in the middle of the arm from the diamond to the buoy appears to be sufficient to level it out horizontally. Replace each season as it absorbs water. Think that was previously posted by “Ed”???? who manufactures the EZ courses.

Gentle but effective method used successfully by me for years on convertible car hoods and carpets. Wash with Milton sterilising fluid or similar ( use at dilution ratio recommended to wash out /sterilise baby bottles) Agitate with soft brush. Follow with Johnson Baby Bath ( blue bottle ) again using soft brush. Cleans and smells nice too. Rinse with fresh water
  7. Profile does not have removable or heat mouldable liners.
  8. Bill, well spotted. I can neither confirm or deny on grounds of state secrets comrade lol.
  9. Wow, shows just how well that ski performs out with the published recommended weight range. Despite advice from many on here (including Eddie R.jnr. and Chris R. I chickened out of going for the 67 feeling it was too little ski for me at 34 being 195. Opted for a 68 Vapor last season but feel at times that the Senate would have been a more suitable choice for me working up to max of 34.
  10. Bill, out of interest for the 67 " max weight tolerance, what weight are you and what speed you skiing at?
  11. If you cannot judge your distance from the hitch you can go a step further with the elaborate addition of a horizontal bar fixed to the pole slightly above the height of your tow vehicle. Position it in line with your boat and vehicle and attach a vertical string with a light plastic ball ( e.g. hollow golf practice ball). Calibrate the ball to just touch your window when you have the tow ball lined up with the hitch This deluxe solution will be much more expensive than the basic solution detailed above costing you almost nothing.
  12. If I am hitching up on my own I simply use a rubber band to secure a vertical pole ( e.g. garden cane, telescopic tent pole, broom handle etc ) to the trailers hitching socket and supported by or stuck into the ground. Assuming that the height of the pole is sufficient high , look over your shoulder back up and line up with the pole in the centre of your rear window /tailgate. Mark the centre point with tape for reference if required. Costs nothing and works. Easy
  13. P.S If I have anything slightly negative to say about the glove it would be that the backhand and wrist straps could be a little longer but I find this on most gloves. That said the Velcro fastening stayed in place throughout and did its job.
  14. Update , I skied one set this evening in the new gloves. Really pleased with them. Very comfortable and more so than I thought they would be with me going down a size from normal. Fit was very good when wet and didn't stretch or go baggy. Palms feel relatively soft compared to Kevlar palms but obviously thicker than my well worn Connelly Prides which have been used over 300 runs. Pre curved fingers are nice and don't strain your hands on the handle Obviously still a bit stiff and need broken in. Time will tell how robust they are but stitching looks pretty sufficient.
  15. Just got a pair of Ergo "A" with Amara palms size L. I usually need XL but thought perhaps try a size down , this having outside seams. Fit is really nice, comfortable and snug dry. I think the XL would have been too big. I sized using the Radar size guide on the Ergo page @Performance. I'll report back after I've used them this weekend
  16. Agree with low battery comments. Had the same issue shortly after purchasing digital calipers. Whilst new to me I don't know how long the battery had been in the tool on the shelf since manufacturing. Changed to a fresh battery and no probs since
  17. If you leave the tongue outside of the liners it pushes the Velcro connection between the shell and liner apart. Surely the tongue goes inside the sides of the liner and closest to the shin for a better connection just like snow ski boots? Any other opinions on this?
  18. Tdub, I feel your pain!, Just went through this myself. Normally I wear a US size 11 in shoes and went for an 11 Profile. My feet are quite wide, never had a closed toe asymmetrical boot before and came from a Connelly Stoker. First impressions off water...far too tight and cramped at toes. Ordered a 12 for comparison and it was huge. Foot was rattling about inside and I couldn't get the bottom lace to snug my forefoot up. Tightening the top bungee too far to compensate would have been hopeless and potential unsafe. Excessive length and volume, foot could twist inside boot when tightened off water. Stuck with the original 11. It has packed out nicely after a few skis but still feels a little alien to me being closed toe. Fit wise it is very comfortable and snug. I was going up a full size with the 12, so I think you going up a 1/2 size would be ideal as I would have liked just a tiny bit of extra foot length if possible but not the excess there was on the 12. For what its worth I think you would find the 10 too tight but 11 should be spot on. Hope this makes sense.
  19. For anyone that's interested. I got the size 12 boot and it fits like a .....bucket. Dry fit off the water, far too much volume and length for my foot and surprisingly a huge size difference going up from the 11. The rigidity in the 12 does not let me synch up the forefoot lacing sufficiently to hold my foot firmly and it would be rattling about with very little control pending injury I think. Tightening the bungee would defeat its function for release purposes Had similar on snow ski boots in the past and didn't care for the disconnected feeling. Option would be to bulk out with a water sock as suggested but prefer the more direct connection. So back to the 11 for my 11 sized foot hoping they will break in a bit through time or need to be adapted accordingly
  20. Thanks guys. I have a 12 on order and will report back.
  21. Thanks guys for your experience r sciences on like Radar boots but specifically looking for opinions and or experiences of Profile boot. Unlike the Vapor it does not have a heat mouldable lining or a BOA tensioner .I believe that general opinion is to size up on the narrower Vapor. Experiences on the apparently wider Profile fit please folks. Thanks
  22. Can anyone advise please re fit of a 2016 ( front ) Profile. Does it tend to run pretty true to size? Should I chose my regular shoe size US 11 snug fit when new and allow for it to pack out with use? or better to upsize to a 12 (which fits more generously now) when new or will it compress too much with wear and become too loose and sloppy with use?
