  1. Update of this thread if it helps anyone. Drop the acorn nuts into plastic rails and cover with masking tape to keep in position whilst you work. Push screws up through the plate from the ski side. Put rubbers/ wraps in position and hook holes over the screws. Finally place rails over the screws and push together to get screws onto the acorn nuts threads and gradually tighten up one side at a time until secure. Struggled doing this many times until I used the tape to hold the acorn nuts in the rails. Recently rebuilt a few bindings and this works every time no problem.
  2. Thanks Sam. My foot is slightly wide but not excessively so. Given its width based then looks like up sizing might be an idea?
  3. savaiusini, advice please re male sizes on HO fixed rubber RTP, what size for a US size 11 would you recommend? Thinking 10/11 but unsure if they size larger/smaller fit. Unfortunately can’t try on as mail order purchase. Assume hole pattern will fit eh ....... an ‘18 Radar Senate? Many thanks
  4. Put a snap hook on a length of wire/ rope, attach hook to course mainline at one end before you sink it. When sunk, tie line end off to your main anchor buoy. Come spring retrieve the hook/line end at surface buoy and pull your main course line up. Attach buoys in sequence as you slide the hook along mainline and bring it to surface. Unhook and re attach again on other side of bars/ diamonds / joints or tensioning loops as required.
  5. Thanks guys, I seem to have got it sorted by moving toe loop forward a few holes. Taking the foam away may be the next stop if needed. Wanted to satisfy myself that they did in fact run very small , as opposed to having the wrong size before I started the " customising " process.
  6. Thanks disland . UK based so not really suitable. Originally was going to purchase the Wiley RTP for that reason but shipping cost was more than the cost binding!
  7. Tried RTP (alloy base) for the first time yesterday and couldn't get my foot in because of narrow plate and tight loop. Even when wet and with binding lube plus putting it on at the swim platform before getting in, I could barely get my big toe to appear at the front of the loop. No chance getting it in whilst in the water/ kicking in. Previously I was advised on here that they run loose and to go small, dealer advised that they run tight, go larger. I wear size 11 US shoe and have a fairly broad foot but not excessively so I went for the largest size XL/XXL. No markings that I can see on binding to confirm size and no excess rubber available on loop to extend it. I suspect that the mail order item I received is the smaller M/L size but cannot check. Anyone use this loop who can comment on the fit and whether it will ease off ? Thanks
  8. DB same size as you and wear a Large. About 2 seasons in now and it has stretched significantly. Now noticing that the front panel is doubling over on certain falls leaving ribs exposed. Currently nursing that type of injury as a result. I would go with Chefs advice to go Medium which will be my replacement size
  9. DB correct re hurrying the process. I used the Intuition process using sock of rice in microwave to assist speed things up. You’ll need to assess whether you want to do this v risk of damage to liner but worked fine for me. Or wear it during and after a soak in the hot tub!
  10. Danger Boy I have 2016 Profiles. The lining is not removable. They cannot be heat moulded by removing I had a similar experience as you (with size 11 US foot). I found the size 11 boot very snug in the area you describe. Tried the 12 which were far too big. Not only was the length far too long but the volume around my foot and ankle was excessive. So much so that I feared lack of control and the potential of my ankle turning inside the boot prior to release. The good news is that they very quickly moulded with wear (and I am skiing in a cold climate) so if you are skiing in warmer waters you would probably achieve the custom fit desired for your foot much sooner. As I said they are technically not heat mouldable in the sense that you can remove liners and put them in the oven but will mould with wear. A bit like your favourite jeans, they will grow into your shape. Glad I went with the smaller size.
  11. Danger Boy my Profiles are 2016. Afraid I cant comment on 2017 model
  12. I wear Profiles. Purchased because it is wide fit and with more toe box room than the Vapors (which I believe are a much narrower fit.)
  13. Logo on the plates says "Reflex" by the looks of things. So I think a fair guess is Reflex. Looks like black cuff front and R type rear
  14. Wac , great advice regarding removal of liners for boot longivity. Unfortunately the Profiles mentioned in the original post by Ripfish have fixed liners so no option to do this
  15. Anybody used the Radar Fixed RTP and can advise on sizing? I like a snug fit and start both feet in. Size 11 US foot. Need to order on line and cant demo. would the M/L size or the XL/XXL size be best? Don't want it to be loose but wondered if I could always go larger and cut back the overlay to get a custom fit?
  16. C5Quest thanks yes agree with Micro Adjust , an idea suggested else where. The main issues is not so much whether the holes are cut to turn into a slot but the size of the screw head to clear the arm block as it is positioned. By reducing the diameter and height of the screw head in place of the original Radar pan head screws I should achieve the position I require. Just wasn’t confident to use a smaller screw head in case it wasn’t secure enough.I believe that a flat head screw will do the job. Am I correct in saying that the correct standard screw is 8/32 x 1/2” UNC?
  17. Thanks to everyone who replied with ideas and solutions. Felt a bit unsure and worried that a smaller headed screw might have been a bit vulnerable. Confident to make adjustments now.
  18. Never posted pictures before but try this. Photos show it mounted back on my Vapor currently as I couldn’t get it on the Senate
  19. Apologies, should have been posted in “Skis, Fins & Bindings” section.
  20. I have been trying unsuccessfully, to mount my front Reflex plate onto a 2018 Radar Senate 69” No problem with front four screws but cannot fit screws into the (most forward ) of the series of 6 rear rectangular holes due to the position of the binding arm block In effect the position of these mounting holes under the arm mount/ swivel block appears to render them useless . Any ideas or solutions as otherwise I am unable to mount the plate back enough to achieve the manufacturers or Rinis recommend boot from tail distance
  21. Mike Gile what size Vapor were you skiing and what size Senate by comparison did you test. Your height and weight?
