The worlds should take place where conditions are good for skiers. Some passes look a bit scary on the webcast and I do think some skiers will not be able to push as hard as they would normally. Having said that, the women finals wS super exciting and the run off between Manon and Regina was epic.

@keithh2oskier Judges said Nate missed his gates at 39. There was video review and they gave 0@39. Nate protested and further video review overturn the decision and Nate scored 2.5@39 for a run off. In the meantime, the webcast studied evidence frame by frame of Nate going through the gate but using 35 instead of 39. So much fun!

Obviously my comments are only based on the webcast rather than the screen judges used to make their call

So I was watching the webcast of Men slalom and was surprised to see how closed Nate looked from missing his gate at 39 to being comfortably inside on the appeal. I took a few screenshots and can't help thinking the gate review video shown on the webcast was not 39 but 35. I know the camera angle and height can be confusing but it just doesn't look like the same pass... I am adding a few screenshots. What do you guys think?

I’m shocked, @horton is the one who taught me that when you know you are not going get to 6, turn 5, then stand up, and DO NOT get back to the wake for a full buoy score. Come up with an intelligent thing to swear at 6 ball as it is fading away, then avoid eye contact with the crowd when you get back to the dock.

Also I don't think you can tell the boat path from the boat view. only end course video is really a good point of view, unless the boat start taking guides buoys off of course :-)

@Horton I am no pro driver but I imagine that at 41 the driver has to point the nose of the boat away from the skier. The wake spray will look like it's not straight but the pylon may still be in the center.
