  1. it is a mystery tome too. seems like a basic feature. I use a direct look at the tank under the step method because we cannot trust the gauge. most of the time the gauge goes to 100% after I add fuel, regardless of how much I add. The fuel management system is fine and maybe I should start using it again.
  2. more info will be posted here: skiwestcomp.com
  3. @lpskier is correct dates are original August 13 to 17
  4. @lpskier I understand the dates were moved a week early unless you know something I don’t. like @ColeGiacopuzzi said, we are putting a lot of work to prep already. Jump, survey, splash eye, cameras… @charlieskiwest and I have been doing more work than skiing which is not good 😀. We are super excited though as Ski West is a great site with 3 amazing lakes. more to come but a few pics of last week end prep…
  5. It is challenging to prep a tournament, not knowing if skiers are ready to ski with safesport, renewed membership and whether they are in a new division...
  6. I know many people use sure-path with hot-spot in the boat. We got a SIM card to make it easier and more reliable in tournaments... Today I had a software / Carrier update and lost data through SIM card. After a few calls and troubleshooting, it turned out that the update overrode APN settings to ATT instead of ATT through Red Pocket. I followed this guide and back in business: https://www.redpocket.com/configure I hope it helps others...
  7. Crazy to think that in 200 attempts, Nate only got to 3 once. It shows how insanely hard 43 must be.
  8. Exciting, I think Regina vs Jamie and Freddie vs Nate in finals
  9. I’m planing on running at least 5 buoys
  10. @BGrow76 agreed. A bit of a pain but a log book recording hours works. It could also be on a shared doc. It is important to establish a very clear set of rules and have each member sign. if any issues or concerns, talk to each other.
  11. Agree with @dave2ball. Who would want to get a ski nautique without the 6.2? even loaded, I would think this boat would peak at 110k
  12. @beezer I would. contact S-Line. I know one of the first batches of rubber was soft. Current handle still looks new and I use kevlar gloves.
  13. I’ll be there too watching out for geese…
  14. @MattP it will be dry compared to Okeeheele but hot, so we may elect to start early, finish early and run practice on all 3 lakes. Practice is a good share of our income and we will not have any official practice on other lakes. All lakes around are private and you would need to connect with an owner to get a ride. If you want to come early and help out we will definitely hook you up!
  15. @jcamp it’s definitely a lot of work and it takes a village, but we are really excited!
  16. @Mateo_Vargas Ski West will have no ducks, rain, wind. shame there was no ducks in sight for my 38… 😂
  17. We are doing a lot of work now to get ready. If you have some good ideas or insightful dos and don't, we would love to hear it now. You can post here or PM me.
  18. https://www.usawaterski.org/news/2023/august/16/ski-west-village-to-host-2024-goode-water-ski-nationals USA Water Ski & Wake Sports and the American Water Ski Association are pleased to announce the 82nd Goode Water Ski National Championships will be held August, 2024 at Ski West Village in Arvin, Calif. The nation’s top water ski athletes will compete for titles in slalom, tricks, jump and overall. Ski West Village previously hosted the Nationals in 2006 and 2007, which marked the last time the world’s largest three-event water ski tournament was held in California. Ski West Village is a three-lake site outside of Bakersfield offering world-record capability conditions. Advancement to the world’s largest three-event water ski tournament is primarily earned through placement on the national rankings list. Athletes also can qualify by placing in the top-five in the previous year’s event or at respective 2023 regional championships. The first national championships was held in 1939 at Jones Beach in Long Island, N.Y. Except for three years during World War II (1942-1944), the Nationals has been held every year since 1939. The agreement between the American Water Ski Association and Ski West Village is for the Nationals to be held at Ski West Village in 2024 and 2025. Ski West Village is located at 28311 Millux Road, Arvin, CA 93203. Tournament information will be posted as it becomes available at www.waterskinationals.com.
  19. interesting that we got an email but no message on the front page... or ETA for fix
  20. @Monzafred correct, It was my first time at Okeeheelee and would have loved a ride. They ran round 1 of the invitational at the practice lake, and, the communication on when practice may be open was very blurry. Some people doing 3 event with kids lost a couple hundreds in practice tickets they could not redeem. The problem with tickets is also that you don't know when people will turn up or not. Online booking with time slots would be much better.
  21. She’s better than most men 😀
