  1. Ok, so I got a DJI Osmo Mobile 6. The idea is to get instant videos to review without having to transfer videos, use cables, computer... I connected the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 to a ski doc orbit using the tripod mount. I used the DJI mimo app. My expectation was that the DJI gimbal would not track fast enough and still shake, but the results was surprisingly good. I did not have time to play with it too much but here is a video of @charlieskiwest at 28 off braving through the 55 degree water. As you can see there is significant shake from the rope, and the Osmo 6 handles the shake really well. Charlie Osmo Mobile 6 Test from Eric Francois on Vimeo. 28 off over Ski Dock The main issue I am having, is that, when you press record and spin around the island, the gimbal switch from landscape to portrait mode. I contacted DJI to see if this is fixable though firmware update or settings. The pros are: - A really fluid video - You can control record / start / stop / zoom / focus... from the fixed gimbal.I will keep you posted on what DJI says and will take some more videos and pics next week end. I also want to try with the iPhone app and possibly the wake eye app...

  3. That's fantastic. When most are freezing, They are still putting up big scores in Florida:-) BTW I saw Sam Dumala did get 2 or 3 39s in the book
  4. @Horton When did Sam Dumala run 39?
  5. That fantastic but now we need the list of women who ran 39 ever!!!
  6. Go Pro is great if you have time and want to use the video. I use my iPhone on skidoc and review the video after ski ride, then delete it.I would be interested to see how a Osmo Mobile 6 gimbal would behave on a ski doc.
  7. We’re all friends, I was just teasing ? Good luck to all boat sellers, even though mine is so much prettier ?
  8. @mattm get out of my thread :-) https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=65323
  9. On very short setups, you must be careful on zero off too. If you floor it, it will overshoot the speed and decrease it while the skier pull out.
  10. @aupatking I was in Florida in 85F water and got back to California at 70F water. In Florida, my ski was shutting down faster and sooner making the ski very stable with a feeling of having more time in the turns to let the ski finish. In the colder California water, the ski is riding higher and faster, delaying the edge change and coming in faster into the buoy. First reflex for us mortals, is too push harder on the tail. What helps me is to carry the handle / connection through the wake and into the pre turn. Having said that, I agree with @Horton... Time to repeat the easy passes
  11. This change happened on 2021 models. Some early 2021 have one shape and the later ones have the new shape. It was to help with the boat leveling out of a turn like island at low speeds like 24mph... either shapes are fine and it would make no difference for feel in the course or wakes.
  12. I know, it is expensive but such beautiful boat to drive and ski behind...2021, 6.0 liter, 380 HP engine with 170 hours. Private fresh water lake use only, not a promo boat. Single axle MC trailer, bimini top, fiberglass swim platform, boat cover, heater, heated seats, stereo, open bow with fiberglass boat cover... PM me if interested.
  13. If anyone does not want to wait... You can get this one now:

  21. anyone knows if the tournament kit is still available? Can't see it on their site.
  22. This is the same in Baurech France https://www.google.com/maps/search/baurech+france+ski+club/@44.7141831,-0.4382335,813m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=fr
  23. I wonder if Tournament organizers got together and asked themselves how they could screw up the sport even more by doing 2 pro events the same week end and split the pro skiers...
