  1. Happened to me last year, RFF skier coming up to 3 ball to drop in, like a knife in my right hip let go of the handle. Had to take a week off for the pain to go away. A week later, same thing. So off to the doctor, get a x-ray, doctor says I just pulled a muscle. Took ten days off. Good to go since then, I was 65 years old when that happen.
  2. Nothing, moved from Michigan to Florida. Retired now and loving it!
  3. Tel, is that a AMC Javelin? I was a designer at AMC 1970 to 1987.
  4. I know I'm late to the party, but I just got a 67" Vapor to see what all the hype was all about. Well after two days on it, I believe. First day two sets on stock numbers the ski felt slow on my offside, but review of the video showed great turns. Day two. Two sets at 34.2 using Horton's numbers, WOW!! Offside better/stronger than my onside. Great angle off the ball and it keeps building angle to the center of the wake, without over powering you. I now know the feeling of Radar Love. This ski is now at the top of my quiver of skis.
  5. Back in the day, 1988. There were two boats that were certified 4 event boats. American Skier had one. And the Ski Centurion Bare Foot Warrior. I know I had one, and still have a 92 Warrior
  6. I just ordered a new Mercury 200 Opt Max Pro XS for the old girl. Can't wait to try it out. Hull is carbon fiber (they were ahead of their time) and used to top out at 60mph with a land and sea torque shift prop and hydraulic jack plate. Like I said a blast from the past.
  7. My 1992 Ski Centurion Barefoot Warrior. I'll be retiring to Florida after skiing at a club in Michigan for the last 12 years. No more 50k inboards and Zero-off. Going back to the future. It was a great boat 23 years ago and still is.
  8. Yes, the good old days. Going out the front only to have your feet floating with your "life belt".
  9. Stop skiing at night. 99.9% of skiers ski in the daylight. The cowd will enjoy it. The Judge's will enjoy it. This isn't promoting safe skiing to the public. And you can forget the unwriten rules.
  10. Been there, done that. One question, how old is the ski? Ernie Schlager
  11. That wouldn't be Brighton Michigan? Ernie Schlager Dixboro Ski Club
  12. Thanks for the info. I take it that you are on a 68" Helix. Ernie Schlager
  13. Just started dropping the speed down to 32.3mph. I weight 200lbs on a 68" Quest thinking of trying out a Radar Vapor or a Connlley Prophecy. Any suggestions on model or size, 68 or 67 inch. My pratice score's are 2 balls at 35 off. I just sold my 66" 34.2mph ski because it didn't like the slower speed. Quest work's good but I tried a 67" Connlley carbon V that skied better. Ernie Schlager
  14. Skijay, thanks for the fin numbers they were spot on for what I needed. Ended up at 10 degrees wing and tried 29" on the front boot but found 28 7/8" were the magic spot for me. What was weird for me was going back/shorter with my front boot. On all the Goode's I've owned in the past I've allways gone forward. So thanks for help. I now feel the power of the XT. Ernie Schlager
  15. 66" XT right foot forward, 195 lbs, 34.2 mph. Yesterday was the first day I felt in control of the ski. 15,22, 28 and a peek at 32 off. Here's the setup. Front boot 29.25 fin 2.462 7.004 tips .705 slot 8 degrees. Like Horton said just stay stacked and try not to release the Beast and it does all the work. At 63 years old I don't like to work hard. Ernie Schlager
  16. What lenght ski, what's you weight, right or left foot forward. I have a 66" right foot forward comming.
  17. Who make's a G10 sequence plate for D-3 Leverage boots? Ernie
