  1. @Horton, I appreciate this post greatly, but there is nothing imperial about it, just very colourful. (notice the spelling of "Colourful")
  2. @Horton even the Swiss Pro Slalom were using metric on their webcast, just embrace it mate.
  3. Rope length 37.5 feet????? :D
  4. Myself and 3 other club members have just been through testing new skies in order to purchase a new one. All skies were 2016 models, we tried the Vapor, V Type R and the GT. Prior to the testing I expected to be buying the VTR, as my last 5 skies had been HO's Each ski had it's own positives, but all 4 of us chose the GT, and have since purchased.
  5. Thanks for your offers & replies, I'm about to head off to drive the Australian Junior Masters tournament at Stoney Park for the weekend, so I'll be in touch next week and start organising some dates.
  6. Hi Guys, I'm coming to the US for a family holiday in April, be spending 9 days in LA doing theme parks etc. then 8 night cruise down to Mexico, back in LA for 6 more days. Looking to squeeze in a couple of sets if possible. Any suggestions on sites and availability? Probably wont bring my ski gear so I'll need a site that I can "demo" stuff.
  7. @aupatking HO make the RAD / RAD+, they do look like a lot of fun, and a good way to get kids into towed water sports.
  8. Scores all back up now. Parrish and Stadlbaur in run off for the last position. Chris won the run off 4@10.75
  9. When I first saw the thread title, I thought it was going to be about "Pigs that Fly"
  10. @ozski our site is salt. We also ski a lot at Stoney Park, (freshwater) 3hrs up the road. Feedback could be very valuable to the Adams'.
  11. @AdamCord, myself and some of my mates down under would be happy to test your ski through our summer. There is a group of us at Myuna Bay (39off - 28off) skiers that would love an opportunity to ride/test your ski.
  12. Hey @gjohnson, sorry to hear about your injury, I did my lisfranc and every other ligament / tendon by half coming out of a rubber boot back in 2009. I had 5 screws in my foot for 3 months (non weight bearing), then had the screws removed, before I could start physio. The good news is that if you get the right foot specialist, you can get back to skiing/running. I play Field Hockey at a National (masters) level, as well as skiing, and don't have any problems at all except for a slight boney lump on my foot. Good luck with your recovery.
  13. Anyone notice that Will's V Type R ski doesn't have the tip weight, but it appears the production model will have. I wonder if doesn't like it, or just doesn't need it.
  14. What sort of numbers would you be looking at for a 2003 TBI Indmar conversion to ZO?
  15. You could also check that your spring is not broken. I've had that happen to me. The springs are a recommended replacement part every 2 years in fresh, yearly in salt water.
  16. @ozski You'll be pleasantly surprised. Even though it's US built with a European developed drive-train, it's one of the best vehicles I've owned. Fuel efficient and tows really well. I got the Limited, but upgraded to the Quadra-lift (self levelling) suspension. Best value for money SUV in Aust. at the moment. I test drove a Touraeg, loved it, but the Jeep did everything at a cheaper price.
  17. @ozski Chad's suggestions are ideal, perhaps starting with the rudder load tab and weight in the nose, (we usually use about 25kgs) would be a good starting place.
  18. Will posted a photo on instagram of him skiing in a 2015 moomba vest. It appears in that photo that the ski has the same tip as the A3, he is always riding prototypes though.
  19. 8 men, 6 women in Slalom finals.
  20. The Moomba LCQ was at Mulwala twin lakes.
  21. That is Berry Springs Darwin, site of the 2014 Nationals. Fantastic ski site.
