  1. @2Valve Great suggestions. Where can we find more information on "plopping tails on the couch every night"?
  2. Nice day in Bama today, 67 air 59 water, sunny, calm. One set today, another tomorrow. @Horton That is your lake? Wow, looks sweet!
  3. @markn You need to heed what @Jody_Seal said in a couple of posts. Putting in a different thermostat is a bandaid to an underlying problem you have not resolved yet. Very likely there is some means for water to be bypassing a closed or throttled thermostat, such as a hole in the thermostat housing Jody mentions. Keep looking.
  4. @Chad_Scott I was hoping for a rematch this year or next for those two Dallas SB wins over the Bills. Great job with "Kickin It"!
  5. What @Jody_Seal said on soap. Not needed, but significantly extends the life of the liners. Just finished year 3 on same liners with at least 175 sets each year.
  6. We had 71 air and 62 water today near Mobile, AL. Just heater tops today, but probably 2mm wet suit soon. Temps dropping again.
  7. What @JackQ said for sure (I'm also 'just' 66). Jack, I also like your tee shirt that goes something like this... "Inside every old guy is a young guy asking, what the hell happened?".
  8. I like these inexpensive gloves with a neoprene back. Only $30 here.
  9. @aupatking Darn. You were just over an hour away, but we skied 60 air, 66 water on Saturday. Then, winterized boat with high 20s coming. Just drained water. Ready to go when it warms back up soon. I need to check out @The_MS Nautique 200.
  10. Yup, it's wintertime again....
  11. @Sebgo. I know you only asked for opinions on 2021 MC and Nautique 200. But, you should also consider a new Malibu Txi. I got to drive and ski a 2021 Response Txi recently. It drove as good as any ski boat I have ever driven. Tracking was easy well into super shortline passes, and the power out of the hole was incredible. I skied a set at 34 mph, and a 2nd set at 32 mph. Both felt great. Super soft and small wakes. I have never skied anything any better. Quiet, solid, smooth, and fun to drive. Great looking inside and out. Excellent ergonomics and features.
  12. Many years ago I had the extensor tendons to my left hand index finger severed. I requested a fiberglass cast before the surgery to reattach the tendons. Then, I was able to cut back the cast some in my palm to be able to grip a ski handle with the other 3 fingers. The index finger was in a splint, straight out. I was skiing again the same week, mostly barefooting. Long time ago, but I believe it was 5 or 6 weeks before the cast came off and I could ski without it. Extensors are probably a little easier to deal with, for skiing anyway.
  13. If you're not happy with the Whisper Fin Pro, you still have a fish scaler and back scratcher (add handle).
  14. No, given the explanation @Horton gave in his second post. "IF" it had to do with criminal stuff, yes, of course.
  15. @tjs1295 Over the last 17 years I have had 3 injuries taking me off the water for about 8 months each. Each time returning in the springtime. Those months were filled with working with a PT early on, then many visits to the gym. Each time, getting back on the water and in the course was pretty easy physically. I'm just a mid-level M7 course skier.
  16. +1 for what @TonyT said. I had an uncle, who played minor league baseball in his day. When he was in his early 80s, and still very active and fit, I asked him, "how do keep doing all this"? Answer: "Don't ever stop".
  17. Too fast for my old eyes. How many times did he go around? Not a tricker, so SL7B doesn't compute. And, did he go over the rope?
  18. By the way, my apologizes to Tony Lightfoot that this discussion about his awesome webcasting of water ski tournaments got new life as a discussion on rope length measurement. Along with my compliments, I made a shameless plug to go all metric, and it grew a bit like a snowball rolling downhill. B)
  19. @Drago 168 And, before snow skis went parabolic, I skied on 204s and 207s.
  20. @JeffSwain. Sorry to hear that Jeff. I tore my front foot Achilles when I was a young 58. Just get some good PT and stick to their protocols. You'll be ripping the course again early spring time, if @skiep hasn't trashed your ski. ?
  21. Awesome job, every time by TWBC. I would be ok with future broadcasts only noting rope length in meters versus feet and inches "missing", and having to explain. All metric, 2021!
  22. Because ESPN could never match the quality, interesting and knowledgeable commentary, and fun that TWBC brings to their webcasts.
  23. Any suggestions for regluing some peeled up corners of the pad on my fiberglass swim deck? I thought about using 3M 5200, but instructions say it should not be used where there is direct exposure to UV sunlight. My boat sits on a covered lift, but the swim deck sees the sun just about all day. Thanks.
