Dragging out this old thread once again. Hey Donny and Ryan, I am VP of Port Indian Ski Club on the Schuylkill River near Norristown. We always welcome new members, especially those who want to contribute and help with making our club better. This year we are serious about putting in a slalom course like we've had years ago. Age and flooding have taken their toll on the course so we will most likely be getting a new course. If you're interested please contact me. If anyone is interested, we have a ski club near Philly. Putting in a slalom course this year, plus we have barefooters and swivel skiers. And of course some wakeboarding and wakesurfing as well. So I'm wanting to get back into slalom again after many years away from it. Open water mostly, but I may wish to run the course for fun at 32 mph. I currently ski on an old HO VTX from 1998 (67" with double wraps). It's pretty heavy, so what would be a good ski to look for at a low price? I would be ok with a RTP instead of a boot. I'm 6' and 175 lbs. 40+ ;)

sand both mating surfaces with sandpaper, use copper permatex on the correct gasket or thick gasket paper (I always get the proper gasket)

www.keyscable.com I am heading to the Keys Jan 18-21, but to wakeboard the cable. (system 2.0) The folks at keys cable also run a 1995 Ski Nautique, mostly for wakeboarding but I bet they would pull you for a slalom set if you want. No course (that I know of)

I'll make you a deal, you can come here for a pull anytime if I can hit you up for one in the future when you get another boat!

Keep driving north to NJ....exit 6 off the turnpike and head west to Florence NJ 8am sunday morning. That's where I'll be! :) I think I read about Corey, doesn't he have a ski school on a private lake near Lake Anna?

@ Broussard.....can't do that....it belongs with this boat....it even has matching graphics. If you're looking for one post it on teamtalk....sometimes guys will have a safe-t-top for sale on occasion.

Lake Aldred ski club on the Susquehanna river use to have a course....public lake though. Still it would be good for early morning runs....it was on the west side of the large island so somewhat protected. This would be just east of Red Lion PA. What town are you in?

@ Broussard....it's not fun ducking under it.....unless the wife is in the observers seat then my head always seems to go toward her lap! Seriously, it serves no purpose for me (I don't even have a net for it) and it's a head knocker when working around the engine. Looks cool though......you don't see many of those. It's hanging in the garage for now.

I wear my GATH helmet when I ride the Skyski. Not for slalom however.

Thanks swc5150! Mostly just cosmetic stuff, safe-t-top now gone, wet sanded all of the gelcoat, polish, new graphics, refinish teak, new wheels and tires on the trailer, new engine hoses, impeller, t-stats, tune up, etc. Almost there!

What area are you in? I assume you're looking for a course to ski on? If so are you looking to join a club, and do you have a boat? I know of at least one club with a course near Philly.

My first inboard was after I saw one at the show ski regionals in Oxbow Mass. It was a beautiful 1988 Ski Eliminator with 7-color gelcoat...very california style graphics. Never drove one or skied behind one, but I ordered one over the phone from the factory anyway. $15,500 brand new on a tandem Eagle trailer. It was delivered to my workplace 4 weeks later. Ran that for 6 years then bought a new '94 prostar. My latest buy was a find on onlyinboards.com. My '93 Prostar 190 Limited Edition that I picked up in Arkansas after a 40+ hour drive round trip by myself. I am in the process of making her nicer before she hits the water in a few weeks. I cannot wait!

Glock, I have a friend with an X-1 with that 310hp engine, no lack of power even when weighted for boarding and fuel economy is really good.....a light X-7 will be even better and will have plenty of power. What year is the X-7? Teamtalk forum is the best place to ask anything Mastercraft as Jefflyman stated. Just curious, did you shop on ski-it-again.com for used promo boats? There are some great deals on there.
