  1. Radar inside out Boa Kevlar
  2. Like I said, check and compare the HydroGate. Put a straight edge behind the Hydrogate there should just be a slight gap maybe a sixteenth.
  3. @Stevie Boy put a straight edge behind the Hydrogate and see how they compare
  4. Adjustments can be made to the Hydrogate. Also, less fuel helps, 2 people in the boat, no weight in the bow, etc. Watching Nationals this year behind the Malibu the wake looked terrible for some and not for others at the same speed and line length. The better skiers that are stacked properly and understand the correct pull zone had no issues with the wake and looked seamless. Other that may not have had proper technique was getting their butt kicked.
  5. @Horton So is this year a major revision?
  6. 2019 + Ski Nautique 6.2 will hit 50mph with the Hydrogate up which is the position you would want it in for barefooting. If the majority of your skiing is barefooting you should be able to prop a 6 liter MC to go at least 45.
  7. Don’t know about other counties but riparian rights is not a issue in Polk County and neither is getting all the lake front property owner signatures.
  8. @JimK Been working with ski courses for over 40 years and 15 of them up north near Pittsburgh on the river. A EZ Slalom won’t work in any current. I would recommend Accufloat by Mike Suyderhound. I’m curious what the bottom of the river is? In that shallow depth I would have a scuba diver screw in 42 inch anchors with a 4 or 6 in blade. You can get these from Tractor Supply. They will only last maybe 2 years before they rust and break. The best way is to buy the stainless steel anchors from Milspec Anchors in Alabama. You can also get a stainless boat trailer which from Amazon. When you order the course from Suyderhound also order the anchor line (stainless cable) from him that is the same as the ski courses. In that depth I would have the anchor lines at least 180’ good reference for where the 55s go. My tip would be as long as it’s not going to flood leave the main line in and just remove the buoys.
  9. Yes Polk County does require permitting for slalom courses and jumps. The property under the water that actually has property lines is called riparian rights. The property owner doesn’t actually own this land until the water recedes. So you basically own to the fluctuating water line. @Calhoun07 your situation on a private lake is somewhat like mine. There is no public access. The problem you will encounter is all it takes is one disgruntled homeowner. If you don’t have a permit you will be made to remove it. If you do have a permit the homeowner will have no recourse unless you really do something dangerous. HOAs have no say in what happens on the lake. I have 4 slalom courses and all are permitted. One thing to remember with you being the future owner of a ski course. Even though you have a permit you are at the mercy of every fishing boat and jet ski. If you really want to start trouble idle up to one of them and ask them to stop or move. Remember YOU have everything to lose. The public doesn’t understand why we ski and nothing about water and wind conditions and they really don’t care!
  10. @Horton so I’m guessing the water level does not fluctuate?
  11. Same question as Horton, when did you buy them and what year model are the gloves?
  12. Just use the PVC as bumpers. That’s what I use.
  13. @Frank_MA , Ski Pylon, regular maintenance, tighten it up. 3/4 socket with extension. 2 U bolts, 4 nuts.
  14. I was thinking Radar had their own set up from Reflex for the Vapor boot. That toe looks a little sketchy. At Nationals last year Brooks had the Vapor boot on display with the Reflex set up.
  15. Cool, online it said C. That's awesome skiing
  16. Was it a record tournament with Sure Path?
  17. @Mazda yep, same surgery minus the bicep. I went above and beyond on my therapy. My therapist was a tournament skier!! He wanted me to start out on 2 I went straight to slalom in the course and ran my opener. Hurt like heck (sharp stabbing pain) for about 3 months when I would shoot the Handle falling on the 1,3,5 ( left shoulder). Shoulder is 100% it’s been 10 years.
  18. Ken’s Nautique Promo was in Austin last weekend. Texas States.
  19. @mike_mapple @disland there is actually a Towboat Request Form that is supposed to be submitted. Nautique does all their Tournament Towboat scheduling around the first week of March.
  20. @SlalomSteve I'm a long time user of the Vapor bindings. I have no experience with the T Factor but remember using rubber bindings a long time ago. The Vapor binding could really be classified as a hard shell and many skiers think it has better control. The one advantage to the Vapor over rubber is it is super comfortable and your foot will not get cramped or fall asleep.
  21. @Hucklefin Maybe, not sure but you could probably cap the ends on the PVC to keep most of the muck out. You would have to use Rain and Shine PVC glue and you would have to cap the PVC under water. It would be worth trying on 1 or 2 gates.
