  1. Without thinking too hard, I can name 7 skiers that I personally know that can run deep 38 and are not AWSA members. That all own boats and have the latest equipment but see no use in tournament skiing
  2. @Justin_C If you can get away with it mark all the gates (8) with a rope and a old buoys that allows the course to rest on the bottom. This way you can float the course in 10 minutes. Another tip is leave all the buoy opes attached to the course that way all you have in the boat is buoys and no ropes to get tangled.
  3. @thager try a good quality folding wood ruler most unfold to 72”. That’s what I use.
  4. @PurdueSkier my thinking on this is if you were mounting the old boot from the second stitch or the new boot from the bottom it is still where Radar recommends the starting point for boot placement on that particular ski.
  5. @thager all tape measures unless your using something from Harbor Freight have taken in account the hook. If you notice there will be a small amount of play. This is built in for allowance of whether you hook or butt up to your measuring point.
  6. Confirmed, it’s on their web site. Bottom of front boot to tail. Previous versions were the second stitch line at back of boot. I haven’t had my hands on the new boot so not sure if bottom of boot is really clear. Hit up Brooks Wilson or Matt Rini. Or call Performance.
  7. I’m sure their web site would have instructions.
  8. @Hucklefin If your going to use a floating course and try and make it semi permanent there is only one choice, Accufloat by Mike Suyderhound. It is the best made course and is stainless cable. If your neighbors would be ok with leaving 8 buoys on the surface you can float this course in less then 15 minutes. You put a tag line with a jug or buoy at every gate. Drive up to the buoy, pull the cable to the surface and put the ski buoys on.
  9. Full blast here in Central Florida. Some tournaments have a wait list.
  10. @Andre I think it’s more of a 34 mph thing.

    Water Spots

The advantage of Windex / Vinegar is no effort and speed. As fast as you can spray it on and wipe it off the spots are gone

Vinegar and windex 50/50 then Top Coat F11 Pro. You can thank me later. Been doing this a long time!
  14. I was thinking the next time I survey my courses I would just use some double sided 3M molding tape and stick the antenna directly to the buoy. Then just peel it off and move to the next buoy. You might go through some tape but I think it would be easier. 1 person driving the boat another in the boat managing the cable and a swimmer with the antenna.
  15. Florida DOT Wi-Fi. No need for the base station. FREE
  16. @Cooper_Trelawney good to know. I wonder what his PB was in slalom? My only complaint is I wish he would not be so negative. It would be better if he talked more about what went right. I’ve been around him as a judge and driver ever since TWBC started. Really nice guy. Super hard job announcing for days.
  17. Actually I’ve seen them as high as 375k
  18. Drive 30 minutes east of McCormicks and get with Kiwi at Action Watersports. Ski Fluid.
  19. It would be interesting to find out what kind of skier Tony actually was? My problem with his commentary is that he is so negative. He rarely ever says anything positive about the skier unless it’s Fred or Robert. He’s definitely bias to UK skiers. It’s comical how some of the pro skiers like Fred, Regina and or coaches like Matt or Kiwi that are in the booth with him set him straight on things he thought went wrong with the pass. I also thought some of his remarks that was busting on the web cast at the Masters was uncalled for. When you’re the best you don’t need to stoop that low.
  20. @JackQ that was @skiep not me!
  21. @mlange just call Skip and he will tell you what you need. He works on these all the time for Nautique. He knows what he’s doing.
  22. @Horton Awesome video, I never thought about the judge being somewhat as a piece of equipment that failed and Fred would have a protected score of 5 with a reride at 39..Awesome Idea
  23. Funny how that got shut down so quick. Sure they are making ProStars as fast as they can but how many are they actually going to build? Like any other investor owned company they have to answer to the shareholders. Right now business is booming on the Surf boat side with a lot of profit compared to a 3 event boat. It would only make wise business sense to build as few ski boats as possible.
