  1. @Cooper_Trelawney I made some updates based on the available information and my interpretation of the qualification criteria posted on the Masters website. Keep in mind that this information is unofficial and I am in no way affiliated with Masters, Nautique, or Correct Craft.

  3. Peter Fleck (former pro barefooter and Award of Distinction recipient) has a dock company in Central Florida and installs these. https://q-icebuilders.com
  4. I would be concerned with the narrow placement at the new hull has tracking rails that were not present on the ‘14-‘20
  5. @lpskierThat list of sponsors is for TWBC for the season, not just this event in particular.
  6. @rockdogThe 2021+ ProStar features 4 tracking fins and tracking rails that run from the first tracking fin to where the shaft exits the hull. The linkage at the rudder has also been changed in order to remove some play and create a more direct connection to the wheel.
  7. @DragoNegative, Ski Safe is the insurance partner of USA-WSWS https://www.skisafe.com/?rf=3386
  8. This statement is unequivocally false... MasterCraft spent a lot of time, money, and effort to reinvent the ProStar for the 2014 model year in order to create a hull that had friendly wakes for skiers at slower speeds and longer line lengths which was detrimental to the highly regarded trick wake the ProStar 197 had. They again spent a great deal of effort redesigning the ProStar for 2021 in order to create a better experience for the average driver making it easier to handle and track better. These decisions were made with the average skier in mind as they are the individuals typically purchasing these boats.
  9. I always drive with the left hand on the wheel and right hand on the throttle or at least resting on the armrest with the throttle easily in reach. I learned how to drive the slalom course firmly in the cruise control era (2011) but had also been driving outboard center consoles and I/Os growing up so I was used to having the left hand on the wheel and right on the throttle. I think that using the left hand to drive allows you to feel what is going on at the other end of the rope better and helps lead to a better pull. In my experience driving with two hands generally causes one to overcorrect and react later as Horton and Bruce mentioned. Side note: I wish the posts showed the user's poll selection like the old Vanilla Forum
  10. @HortonI tried to do some digging, but no dice. @A_B may have some info. In a 2012 post he said "I tried to track down the original LISA unit, as it was called. Talked to Benzel, who gave me the guy's name who designed it. I called him and he said he basically threw it away, as there wasn't any commercial interest in it. This was years ago."
  11. @DW This event was the 2023 Pasteje Automobile Invitational per the video description.
  12. I would install some drop down platform brackets wayyyyyy before I start destroying the value of the boat by going to town like Dr. Frankenstein.
  13. HO's Freeride Combos look really promising, but I have never been on a pair. Hosports 2023 Freeride Combos
  14. @footnote22They are pretty rare. I think production only lasted a year or two and the ProStar 205 with rear facing observer seat was likely much more popular. They are out there, but you will likely have to do some searching. https://www.onlyinboards.com/1993-Mastercraft-Prosport-205-Ski-Boat-for-sale-Independence-Minnesota-151641.aspx
  15. Camaro's new Core vest some inserts on the sides for rib protection.
  16. @BKistlerI will take you up on that
  17. Looks like they used outboard powered towboats for Moomba in 1997. Inboard powered boats were used for jump at Moomba in 1999.
  18. @Bruce_Butterfield Outboards were utilized for the jump event at pro tour stops as early as 1987. At that time Yamaha was a presenting sponsor for the tour. By 1991 they had switched to using inboard powered ProStar 190s for jump.
  19. @mbabiash @rico That boat did indeed spend time at TBS
  20. The two hulls you have owned are regarded as the best wakes a MasterCraft has ever produced... The seventh gen hull ran from 1998-2000, so you would be looking to that era for feedback.
  21. @HortonNot a fan of sangria flake, much prefer the flat. Here is a sangria flake NXT https://actionwater.com/inventory/2022-mastercraft-nxt22-4eke6-polk-city-fl-used/
