  1. What is the preferred self done heat molding for these liners, oven or hair dryer?
  2. Does anyone know if this will help mechanical engines get dialed in? These seem to be the harder engines to get dialed in...
  3. Is the sizing on Radar bindings specific to men's sizes or does it not matter when converting for women? Does any one know of a women using these bindings? Or is there a comparable binding for women?
  4. Wade can be reached through Facebook, skiwithwade.com, or skiwithwade@gmail.com. Definitely look him up when visiting Orlando!!
  5. Just got done with a day skiing with Wade Cox, @wade. What a great site and great coach! Wade has a way of explaining things to really break it down into the simplest movements. He has a wealth of knowledge that he just wants to share. When you are out on the water Wade just makes everything seem personable and at home. Wade's site may be a little farther out, but the quick 30 minute drive is well worth it! Check out Wade next time you are in Orlando!!
  6. Check out Wade Cox, @wade. First class coach and site!! His site is outside Orlando, but worth the drive!
  7. @davemac This is great, you answered my questions perfectly. Thanks for posting!! I was able to go to the Malibu crew site as well and log in to see the full photos. Looks like for my purposes the "U" shaped bar mount will be the best option. It looks like a pretty easy modification. I really appreciate the guidance!
  8. Thanks guys. I will see what I can do. As far as NN setting this would be the default setting as I have not changed it.
  9. Has anyone with an older Malibu modified their existing mirror bracket to install the PTM mirror. From what I understand one would have to cut the existing U-shaped mirror mount in order to use the mount that works with the PTM mirror. Is this modification easy? Does anyone have after installation pictures? Is there another way to install this mirror that is easier than the manufacturer suggested install? From the consensus on this site it sounds like a great upgrade. Thanks!
  10. I have to replace my throttle return spring on my '05 monsoon per Perfect Pass in hopes that this helps with my surging issue. Any suggestions on where to buy a replacement? Is there something technical that I should concerned about when replacing? Thanks!
  11. 2005 Response LXi. 565 hours. As good as the day I brought it home.
  12. @Chuck_Dickey‌ Thanks! That makes me want to upgrade to a new boat even more. And I'm sure on top of this all it gives an even pull with great segment times all the time. Would be awfully nice to not have to look at segment times and just enjoy a great pull. Almost sounds too good to be true compared to what I've been working with!
  13. @skier2788 Thanks! Sounds awesome compared to fidgeting with Perfect Pass!!
  14. Is Zero Off as simple as map the course and go? In other words once you map the course you do not have to worry about running baselines or changing background settings like Perfect Pass? Or is there more setup to Zero Off other than mapping the course?
  15. @GregHind‌ I will have to do that next summer as our boat had to be put away for the winter already. I have checked the server motor per the videos on PerfectPass and it operates as shown in the videos. This was done at the start of this past season, I rechecked all linkage and upgraded software at the start of the season. @skiboyny‌ I came across @DanE‌ 's comments about adjusts a little late in the season. Those adjusting techniques were going to be my first things to try next summer. What you described there is a good synopsis of what was explained.
  16. @GregHind I do have the latest software 8.05. I have a 2005 Response LXi, Monsoon 340, Acme 13x12 3-blade. I have experienced the same surging on any version of perfect pass I have used. I have tried adjusting settings per feedback I've received on this forum and have been unsuccessful. This is where a video, I think, would be helpful. There has to be a fundamental thing I am doing incorrectly. I have to believe that I can get this boat dialed in, I'm sure others with my same boat have had luck.
  17. I agree that they have great customer service. It would be great to see them come out with a video showing the proper way to adjust the background settings. It seems that adjusting these settings is the single biggest complaint amongst customers and most discussed topic on this forum. I particularly have struggled with setup and with limited time on the water would love to see exactly what they look for and how they recommend adjusting settings based on segment times.
  18. @tjm Do you know who maintains/is in charge of the course there? I would love to ski there and want to do what I can to help out. I'd like to reach out to that person to chat before just showing up. Thanks! you can pm me if that is easier.
  19. Just moved to North of Chicago, anyone know where to ski on a course in the Fox River or surrounding area?
  20. About every 5 years seems to be what Malibu does...
  21. Does anyone have knowledge of when any of the Big 4 are coming out with new models? I'm guessing it will be awhile for Mastercraft with the Prostar just coming out. How about Nautique, Malibu, and Centurion? These three have been a few years since revisions, at least that I know of. I know that technology is changing from year to year, but I am looking for major changes.
  22. @DanE‌ I do have the latest software version 8.05. I am hopeful that this new approach to adjusting the system will fix it once and for all. I will report back with what I discover so others can see what worked/didn't work. Thanks again for all the input!
  23. @GregHind‌ all the linkage tests went as the video described. I had our mechanic watch the videos and check the linkage. All the other check points you mentioned checked out fine as well. I don't remember specifically what the voltage was but I do remember it being sufficient. I will have to take pictures and video to post this weekend for you to review. @DanE‌ Thank you for your input. I have read this before and tried to adjust accordingly. What I think I better understand now is that I should recheck my baselines and adjust crew weight (which I have been doing) along with only working with one background setting at a time. I figured that a +/- of .02 was good enough, I will now adjust until I get it dead on, then move to the next setting until that is dead on from start to this point. Once you dial in the Ball 1 setting should you never touch it again while adjusting the others and so on when you get Ball 3 set? Say the boat is fast and shows a segment time of -.02, how much should you adjust the background setting, down 3, down 5, down 10? Also, when adjusting crew weight for speed going to Ball 1 like you described which adjustment up/down does what to the boat speed heading to Ball 1?
  24. @GregHind, after updating the perfect pass software and checking all the other issues I am still having issues with consistency. I have spent countless tries adjusting the background settings to get the pull just right. There will be moments where I have the settings correct and then we will turn around and go back through the course only to have inconsistent segments again. I have had only a couple instances where the ball segment times were +/- .01 to +/- .02 all the way through the course. I have never had this happen back to back times. Usually it will go from being +/- .01 & +/- .02 ball segments one time and then the next time I will get some +/- .05 & +/- .06's.... When I adjust the settings of what I think the issue is then it sometimes helps but other times doesn't. Does anyone have experience in Northern WI with setting up PP Zbox that could lend a hand? Needless to say I would just love to ski knowing PP was going to work correctly and not have to think about it all the time.....
  25. Thanks Greg. I will update this spring and check the linkage. I hope that resolves the inconsistencies.
