  1. Hey @Jody_Seal I’d like to learn more. Was discussing this with the other half and I got the go ahead to look into it more seriously. Budgetary review and the like. Plus what all I will need to do to make it work. @storm34 - I found your journey on CCFan. Sounds like a fun project.
  2. When you all did the repower - how did you remove the fuel tank? Any tricks to be aware of? Thinking when my engine is done I too will be doing a repower. Might need to pick up an engine and tranny and mothball it until I need it.
  3. My wife has the 22 and I have the 24. My wife has skied lights out on the 22, getting way further down the line than any previous skis. I only have 8 sets or so on my 24 but it is a game changer. I really believe I will get a PB on this 24.
  4. Only thing I notice is the impeller seems to be sticking out a bit from the housing. Unless there is a relief cut in the cover to allow for what is sticking out you will get interference between the impeller and the cover, this will wear out the impeller very quickly. If the impeller isn’t seated correctly it may also not be able to create enough of a vacuum when first starting the boat. Hope you can get it sorted out and fixed quickly!
  5. Performance Ski and Surf in Orlando. A great place - and they know a thing or two. Tell them BallofSpray sent you too.
  6. Love listening to TWBC and watching the live feed while doing household chores. As always - an excellent production. Thank you!!
  7. I’ll take you up on it @Scoke! I’m a RFF and recovering Denali skier. Started this season on a 2024 Radar Vapor.
  8. @MarcusBrown this is awesome stuff. Taking cues from the overhead view and compiling them to the boat view is incredible. What I especially thought was useful is the way the spray changed from the ski when Rob let go of the handle. This type of analyses is really a game changer! Thank you.
  9. Having just demo’d a 2024 Vapor, I’d highly suggest it. I’d also demo a C95, a Connelly Versatail, and the HO Works.
  10. First sets of the season at SkiFluid. Had an awesome time - even with the wind, the lake skied well. Got some really good tips from Kyle Eade as well. Most importantly the kids want to go back. I’m definitely up for that.
  11. Hey - “I’m from the government and I’m here to help!” Wake up folks!! It hasn’t been that long since we were all wearing masks (or forced to wear them). What lessons did we learn from that?!
  12. I just use black latex gloves - (Venom brand) under my normal gloves and it really helps. Doesn’t keep your hand warm, but it sure does keep the wind off. I also ski with a stocking hat to keep my ears warm.
  13. Starting the kids out at Skifluid this upcoming spring break. Really looking forward to it as my hope is to sit in the boat and absorb as much as I can to reinforce the teaching when we get home. Also - being this will likely be the first passes of the season I want to start them out right.
  14. A nice 21F and windy this morning. On the bright side I’m setting my sights on one more ski day before the end of the year - have to try out the new heater core!
  15. A blast from the past is Kilo Kai on the Warp ski!
  16. @Bdecker I would use the nitrile gloves under your normal gloves. I usually try and ski once in November and have found the nitrile gloves keep the wind chill down significantly. Without those gloves my hands would be too cold after two passes to even hold the handle.
  17. This time of year any warm temperature days are accompanied by a lot of wind from the south. Water temp isn’t too bad and air isn’t too bad, it the wind is what kills it. There might be a day or two left that we can ski, but we can’t count on it this time of year.
  18. Really excited to try the new 24 Vapor. This just confirms it!
  19. @horton - your comment regarding the amount of work required is what drew me to this ski. Plus I see how well my wife has progressed on her Radar = #1 on my short list.
  20. Alright Ballers: let’s get some feedback on your shortlist of skis for 2024. My list is three skis: 1. 2024 Radar Vapor 2. La Point LP1 3. The Parsons Project Pineaple My wife has a 2022 Vapor and it absolutely rips. The cross course speed is phenomenal and she can turn very well on it. Plus Radar supports us all so much - Spraymakers. The LaPoint ski is quite intriguing as the brains behind this ski are one of the best in the business. The Parsons Project Ski - well we know what Nick has done with another manufacturer and how those skis have been raved about over the years.
  21. Thanks for the review @horton - I am going to demo this ski next year. I am assuming that you tried different front boot placements on the ski, how sensitive to boot placement was the ski or did it feel similar over a wide range of settings?
  22. I have a mirror I’m not using if interested.
