  1. Bill22 great post! I'm with you. Im not going to offer any advice because I need it myself. I will say this though, I got my first coaching session last fall and was told gates at our level shouldn't be a focus. The tips about width is what I'm working on. I'm guessing you may need the same. At -28/34 without width it won't happen. I'm using some advice about where the rope crosses the the side rail to help me determine if I'm getting wider. I have a step pad on my LXI to help me see where I'm at. There are awesome skiers on this forum!
  2. I'm anxious to see if the Minneapolis boat show even has a ski boat in the lineup this year? I refer to our boat show as the pontoon show. Last year they did have a new prostar and a txi but that was about it. Other than a few wake and fishing boats, all pontoons. I'll report out what I see. I'm still in the market for a well broken in 200 if anybody has a line on one. Pm me.
  3. Unbolt and ditch old and buy a heavy duty Fulton. You will never look back.
  4. Old jeep. Good thought I already talked to him. His is in storage.
  5. No luck so far. Son Watersports doesn't have one that isn't shrink wrapped. Any other ideas?
  6. I don't really expect any improvement on skiability. I'm not a good enough skier to justify the zo (although my pp is super finicky and I have no confidence that it is dialed in right now). I like the layout and less Upholestry that comes with the 200. Plus I'm probably ready to ditch the tower that I have since I haven't wakeboarded much over the last few years. Fair question though. If I could upgrade for 8-10k, who knows?
  7. The 2 dealers in my area don't have any 200's. I'd be up for running to prior lake.
  8. I have a favor to ask. I am considering an out of state ski nautique 200 open now and would like to touch and feel one prior to putting any plans in motion. I would greatly appreciate a garage tour of anyone that has one in my area. Or if anyone knows of a dealer in the area that has one? I currently have a 2003 lxi. Concerns about switch are; -bow space, does 200 have same or less -overall storage space and walk around space. Side trunks look awesome but does it make it cramped for family days? -hours. I have 800 on mine and am looking at boat w 1500. I'd really appreciate any leads on a boat my wife and I could walk through.
  9. I did this the week after thanksgiving. Checked my ski and skied with jodi fisher. Very fun and recorded all coaching advice to listen to over the winter. Great guy and great setup. I agree ski your own gear.
  10. I hear a lot of chatter about high hours. I thought this might help us understand how high is high and what brand is lasting the longest!

Thanks. I'm leaning toward a prey series. Stick with what I know. I was intrigued with the fast drying and additional flotation the platinum offers. Plus it looks sick. The dealer said he would ship me both and pay shipping back for the one I didn't want. Tough to tell without getting a few sets in how they are going to fit.

How about sizing? If I use a large prey series do I need a xl platinum series? Dealer is saying they are running snugger due to heavier material. I'm really not a big guy.
  13. Nice job! Proud parents I'm sure! Thanks for sharing.
  14. The first link is my video. I may be able to help out with details if anyone is interested. I'm still fine tuning.
  15. Last weekend. My 4 yr old and 6 yr old girls and our friends 2 yr old son.
  16. Sorry about size. I'm using a gopro with no zoom. I'll try to figure something else out. I'll work on wider and stacked! Thanks!!
  17. I will be the first to admit this doesn't look pretty. It looks like I am too far forward. I really felt the free from the boat theory and did not do well with it. After looking at the video I think I better work on -22 way more before going after -28. Do you agree? Or maybe I should slow way down at -28 until I get it and gradually get back to 34 mph? I routinely run -22's but probably not with proper technique. It seems as if -28 is where the rubber meets the road. I'm skiing at 34 mph and am on a 2012 prophecy.
  18. Current setup 28 5/8" 6.850" 2.5" 0.770" 7 degrees
  19. I have a question for you on the 2012 prophecy. Horton did a nice write up on this ski. Thank you! I am trying to dial it in for myself and noticed his comments about binding placement. I put the stealths on it. I have a 66" ski with the distance to the front binding at 28 5/8". I am 165 lbs 5'9" ski at 34 mph and am stuck at 28'. It skis different than my 08 prophecy and I think it has more to give. I bought it used and am having trouble getting stock numbers to set it up to. It is bouncy off the wake and tough to slow down resulting in slack. Any advice?
  20. Thanks. Hopefully I can find some place closer. I saw on one of ur posts u got the new prostar. U have to be stoked. The white stuff can't melt fast enough. 2 years ago we would already have a few sets in by now.
  21. I am looking for a coach this summer. I am an intermediate skier stuck at 28' off, 34 mph. I am 38 yrs old and can't get enough of the sport. I would prefer to ski at a different venue due to having limited access to home lake course. Cash. Ideal location would be bald eagle, lake jane, white bear lake, or demontreville. Flexible schedule.
  22. How do you set inverted tach?
