  1. First one to DM me the following, who is not already an AWSA member, gets a free 12 month $19.95 membership. I need full name Date of birth Address Phone and email
  2. @Jody_Seal it was actually talked about quite a bit at rules post hangout. Just make men 36 and women 34 and let everyone do what they want and the person with the most buoys win. Simple and everyone can ski what they want when they want. It’s all strategy.
  3. @John Brooks dont see why not. Officials would have to still have officials ready for L unless a division was 100% E. The only really difference is trick fall
  4. @Jody_Seal sorry what I meant is ZBS in E for skiing above division max is not allowed or at least credit for extra buoys is not awarded.
  5. @John Brooks Yes and we do that at midwest regionals but ZBS is not allowed in class E either, only C and F
  6. No KOD this year. Great event. Definitely missed not having it.
  7. @kc im not advocating a change in classes at nationals nor is it a proposal on the table. I was just more ranting that everytime we get an IWWF rule change we can’t effectively weighs the pros and cons b/c we always have to give into the fact that we run our reg/nat under world rules which means iwwf is controlling our rules in a way at those events. Of course W4 speed did not pass so I guess I’m wrong anyways :). And I pulled 75% out of my rear boot. Just a guess. Just judging that we have about 100 USA athletes compete internationally each year.
  8. @Shell all questions are sent to all members but at the beginning you are asked what division you ski. This way we can filter results by who answered. We only took into account those effected by the change. DM me ur email and I can look into why you didn’t not get one. If you feel strongly about 32 mph I suggest contacting your regional reps to voice ur opinion at upcoming meetings. Thank you
  9. @T-fromTO survey send to all awsa members. Then we can filter by skiers division and answers. It wasn’t the only factor but we do rely on the surveys to guide how the membership feels.
  10. W4 slalom speed to 32 mph did not pass awsa rules committee. Surveys were not in favor of it.
  11. @kc decent point. Maybe class E then. Of course a number of skiers enjoy getting an L score too. But my point was that 75% of the skiers at nationals don’t care about L. And what class a skier skis in is usually skier choice driven until they get to nationals then there we force them to ski under international rules. So what’s happens is we keep getting these iwwf rules changes we don’t want but b/c we run the 5 biggest events of the year in AWSA under international rules we keep finding ourselves stuck in accepting them.
  12. @Horton need more details? not sure what side of what rule you are on, a very small % ski internationally, this is the problem, IWWF keeps making changes for IWWF skiers, and for most countries everyone skis L so it's not a big deal but for US, we are 75% class C so these rule changes always effect us, but they mainly effect us at reg/nat. I think we could solve all this by making our nationals class E or C. Most skiers ski reg/nat to ski reg/nat, not b/cits an L, i.e a lot of skiers are forced into L at reg/nat, they dont want it or care about world rankings, so when we run our reg/nat under L we then force a large % of our membership into a rule set they dont care about,
  13. @aupatking , Now that ZBS has succeeded in the states I think we have a good chance to get IWWF behind it. When it first came out half of AWSA hated it, now its been one of the most used rule changes in recent years, So maybe IWWF will adopt. They could always put stipulations on world events if they want but we need to be able to do ZBS in L events and it count, you can do them now in L events BTW, but when your scores go to IWWF they just will count as 15 off.
  14. Yes very true, IWWF has lowered womens 45-54 slalom speed to 32mph, so we are in our usual dilema, if we don't do the same than W4 skiers can go 34mph until they get to reg/nat and then they can not go 34 , they can but receive no extra buoys for it. So it almost puts in a situation where we have to also lower it to 32mph, of course if IWWF would adopt ZBS it would at least give W4 skiers the choice to stay at 34mph and earn the correct boy count or better yet leave max speed 34mph and would allow W4 skiers who want to go 32mph go that speed and get proper ZBS scoring for it. IWWF needs to adopt ZBS and all this goes away.
  15. @unksskis only 1 jumper now. I got hurt and jimmy had a family emergency cone up and had to leave.
  16. Thank you to everyone who played season 3, we had 466 players. Congrats to markm who took home the season title. We have some improvements coming for season 4 which include a better mobile draft interface, more prizes for each event, the ability to play for money, and text notifications when drafts are due and when your skiers ski. We would love any feedback you have as well. Congrats to all the conference winners as well. Once again thank you for playing!
  17. I tried something different on my team. Loaded up all slalom and then jump and no one in tricks. Hint. Tricks not worth as much for FWS with one pass. But winners will be Jaime Bull Sean hunter anna gay filchenko Dominique and I’m going out on a small limb and Ben Leutz will win MJ
  18. Syndicate has just announced it will give the fantasy winner for nationals a free ponchowel https://www.hosports.com/product/waterski-accessories-syndicate-ponchowel
  19. Season 3 of fantasy waterskiing ends with the Syndicate Skis NCWSA Nationals October 10-12, 2019. The top 20 collegiate athletes will be available to draft. You will have $1,600,000 to draft 3 skiers in each event. Some fo the names will look odd b/c they have the word NCWSA nested within the last name. Also, we are still working on fixing the Cali pro-am scores but hope to have it done before this last FWS event so that the season winner can be announced. Follow the live webcast at: http://www.ncwsa.com/webcast/2019nationals/
  20. Tune in tonight at 8 est to watch the 2019 NCWSA Wildcard Show where we pick the 3 remaining Syndicate Skis National teams, announce the boat draw, and select D1 and D2 teams. http://www.ncwsa.com/
  21. @aupatking yes Dennis has a lot more NOPS in tricks over Jeff.
  22. @RichardDoane was it after nationals because this list is for ski year 2019 which ended with nationals
  23. Last year this went to print with some errors so thought I'd run this by some eyeballs to see if anything looks off. If you see anything let me know, otherwise congrats to the champs for 2019.
