I am checking for a friend that lives in the Ft Meyers area, are there any ski schools/ pay by the set lakes in the Ft Meyers area? My area of knowledge is only the Orlando area........any help is appreciated

Yah, I just looked it up as well, looks like it works with all Radar boots that have an aluminum plate
I see one of these in my future!
-
@Zman I have been thinking about getting this plate as well, I have Vector boots, (I would love to get the Vapor Carbitex but they do not make them big enough for my size 15 Sasquatch feet) I assume the plate would work with those?

Many thanks for the advice @brooks
My buddy is currently looking for a Katana, but I will tell him to look at the Union as well!
-
Thank you @Chef23
@brooks any advise?
-
Thank you for all the comments! After these recommendations I might steer him towards a Katana or Senate, I don't know anything about the Union....will have to check it out
Sounds like the Butterknife is a great ski, I just think he will want something a bit more high performance
Many thanks

So I have a good friend of mine that is getting back into slalom skiing after a long hiatus (marriage, kids, career etc) and he is asking me if a Radar Butter Knife is a good choice? I have no experience with that ski and would love some advice.
Here is a little history:
My buddy used to be a fantastic free skier and the first double boot tournament ski I was ever on was his back in the 90's
He will mostly be free skiing but I will prob drag him into the course periodically
My gut tells me a Senate might be more suited to him as he was always on more high performance skis back in the day.......what say you?

Wife: "is that a new ski?"
Me: "what, this old thing?" ?

I finally caved and purchased a copy today as well, I am excited to take the tumultuous journey of a "fin tweaker"!

I am definitely a teak guy and have found that it can also be "maintenance free" it's easy actually: just don't do any maintenance to it!!!
-
Skied yesterday, water 55, air 45, it was awesome!

Hey @skimtb , did you ever find a tug near Myrtle Beach?

Hey Nikki, I hope you were able to connect with other skiers on Powell, can't wait to see the pics, that trip is on my bucket list for sure, cheers!

I talked to my friend and this boat is SOLD

Hello all, I am just posting this for a friend, but this will be a great boat for someone, it literally looks new, its been pampered its whole life! 437 HRS original owner!
I hope I dont get in trouble for the long link......they are OK now correct @Horton ?

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback, I don't want to trash the owner of Daggett Lake on a public forum, but in a nut shell he made our group (4 family's) feel like we were a nuisance to him and generally feel unwelcome, from what I gather he has gone through a recent divorce and is going through a rough patch so I have decided to cut him some slack and chalk it up to we caught him at a bad time, life's too short to get bent out of shape over this stuff!
I hope the guy finds peace, and gets things back on track.

Thanks for the feedback @jcamp, hopefully we just caught the owner when he was in a funk and our experience was not the norm
Weather was perfect when we were there, was brutal staring at all this glass!

Hello all, my family and I just returned from a long weekend camping at Daggett Lake in the Adirondacks, I was looking forward to doing some skiing/ relaxing but we ended up having kind of a strange experience with the owner and didnt end up doing any skiing while we were there.
I was just curious if anyone else has skied/ camped there and what their experience was? I am hoping that ours was just an anomaly.
Would appreciate some feedback, thanks!
