Never mind the ski, just give us fashion pointers....I mean, top knot, blindingly cool shorts, ski glasses...we can only follow :-)

Doesn't water drops on the lenses distort your vision??  I tried sking with polarized goggles for glare, and it was like skiing with drunk glasses.

almost forgot this one. Screwed up my gate at 38 and went for it anyway.

I need to come right out and say that when I received a Coefficient X from HO, I did not understand the capability of the ski. Maybe HO was really trying to make a lesser ski that fit below the S1 and A1 and they accidentally made a better ski than planned. I have only taken this ski seriously for a few rides but I think I might like it better that the A1 or S1. I might like this ski a LOT. Costs hundreds less than S1 & A1? Bonus!

In all honestly, I do not yet have a clear idea of how to characterize this ski. What I can tell you is that I ran 4 @ 38 on it today and a bunch of 35s that were staggeringly easy. Off the chart freaking silly easy. (I reserve the right to resend this next bit ) I think this ski crosses the lake as good or better than any ski I have ever ridden. The ski turns good but I need a few more rides to find my “happy place” constantly. No, it is not perfect and I am unsure if I can adjust my short gate to this ski but if I can, I am going to crush some balls.

I saw a good skier at Coble's that is running on the Co X and is skiing into deep 35 at a minimum on it and that skier has been on the A1.

The problem is Horton can ski on anything.  He has an incredible talent for switching skis.  Seen it too many times with my own eyes for it to be coincidence.  Dude has skills.

Sounds like Donny and I need to ski late on Friday and make a date with the Demo Man.  Donny hopped on a Z7 before I got there on Sunday and shot par.  Tried to watch the Coefficient X from on top of his dock.  What I could see looked good, but too far away.  Shorts looked nice though.  Another 38 bit the dust on Friday with Proctor at the wheel.

Horton won't go to Idaho even though I offered him a Southwest ticket and a place to stay. I think it has to do with his weight gain....

Still waiting for him to complete the ensemble with his cape. We know he has one.

Dave,

Are you or are you not the dumbass that lost a binding part in the lake and got me to UPS you another within a day?

I look sexy in that photo

All those stories from college you tell about how I prevented you from doing "things" with that one chick... Not true but at this point I wish they were.

Back on subject:

JAS Asked how the CO-X compares to the Strada 55: Like night and day!

The 55 is smooth almost to a fault. Carving turns and always drawing curves.  It is hard to screw-up a turn on the 55. The 55 holds its speed by sweeping though all transitions. The 55 is physically super easy to ski on. Easy on the body.

The CO-X draws radical straight lines across the lake. The CO-X seems to roll in less and stay pointed out off the second wake.  I would not call the CO-X unforgiving at the ball but it is not a baby sitter.  More like the S-1 than the A-1 at OffSide turn.  The thing about the CO-X that blows my mind is how much space I have at the ball. I mean who cares about a smooth turn when you are that darn early?

The only struggle I have with the CO-X  is since it does not roll in the way I am used to,  my short gate is a mess.  I have not managed to get many  good starts at 38. In fact last night it was freak’n pathetic .  On many other skis I can go left at the green balls, control the handle and the ski just sweeps left (at edge change) so I can arc right and toward that gates. On the CO-X I get sort of stuck out there.  I had the same problem on the MPD.

This is a review in process so perhaps I will solve this  - perhaps this a quirk in my skiing.

What about EXO binding placement on a 67" CoX?  And what setting on the release for 160 lbs and also 190 lbs?
