Skis with ridged bottoms - next big thing? Maybe

I did a  HO CO-X review this year and am about to write a review of the Connelly V. Like the CO-X the Connelly V has a ridged or "Tile Roof" pattern on the bottom.

The short version of the review of the "V" is: for the price, it is the best ski I have ever ridden. Darn thing cost only  $349 (blank) and I ran into 38 on it last night.

I am thinking the ridges thing is not a gimmick. The only down side is that after skiing I had a craving for Ruffles.

Have been skiing the "ladder" as my ski partners call it for a week now.

HO Co-SL 67" w/ Franken Fogmans.

This ski is legit. Ran my best set of the season this morning (.5 -38)

Great turn shape, good speed and carries wide even if you make a mistake.

We have then at 599.00 right now ready to ship (shamless plug, Thanks John!)

I talked to the Connelly rep at the Malibu Open about the new V.  He said it is basically the replacement for the F1X, with a slightly narrower tail than the F1X had.  It will be available in 69" so I'm hoping to try one some day.
