Shortenit
Here is link to Nate Smith running 41 off. Not in a tournament, it's a practice pass but at a record capable course with a world class driver. Interesting to see the difference in his body postion between his on and off sides while behind the boat.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOoJynl9MlE

Baller_ RichardDoane Posted November 16, 2010 Baller_ Share Posted November 16, 2010 if you want to have the youtube player instead of a using link, all you have to do is have the youtube video up in a different window, then click on the "embed" button that's down in the lower RH corner under the youtube screen, and then copy and paste that html code into the "comments" box of a BOS forum discussion. If the video creator allowed embedding in their original upload, then the player magically appears in you BOS comment box. Shortenit - that's some skiing by Nate, thanks for sharing. Tuney
I'm impressed, yeah the toe side was a little wild - but it worked
Baller DanE Posted November 19, 2010 Baller Share Posted November 19, 2010 41 off... wtf, how many extra shortening loops does he really need?
Shortenit
At least 43 off that's for sure. Line length of 41 off confirmed by 3 people.
Baller bishop8950 Posted November 19, 2010 Baller Share Posted November 19, 2010 I was there (Shortline, Elk Grove CA) that week and he never missed 39 and definately ran that legit 41. Not that you need anyones word for it on any forum, just look up his tournament scores this fall. Many deep 41s and at least one 43 off score at different sites, drivers, boats etc. This was a break through season for Nate and it will be fun to see what he does going forward.Nice guy too. Plenty humble and just happy to rip the slalom courseKB
Baller 6balls Posted November 19, 2010 Baller Share Posted November 19, 2010 Gotta love him...toe loop skier ala Andy Mapple (and myself, of course :))Another interesting thing is evident if you pause your way thru the video. Despite being at 41 w/no rope to spare, he does not get laid out at the ball and extend inward w/his reach to make the buoy...one would think that would be necessary to get the ski out there at that line. His reach is definitely down the buoy line yet he still gets around the buoys at 41 making it look like a longer pass...scary how good Nate looks on this pass.
