Baller jedgell Posted April 3, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 3, 2011 so I'm in the market for a new ski and looking at the new Goodes probably a 9960. The problem is that I'm in M2 until August, then drop to 34mph. Since Goodes are made for specific speeds, what should I do? I see that the Fire isn't speed specific, maybe that's a better option. Also probably go with the traditional shape. Any help is appreciated.
KM
I believe the 36 mph bevels can be converted to 34 mph bevels at Goode when you go in to M3. You may want to consult with Goode to make sure this can be done.
Baller T-fromTO Posted April 3, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 3, 2011 Scott, why do you strongly recommend the mid ride over the regular?
Baller Boody Posted April 3, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 3, 2011 Scott or whomever knows, What would you say are the differences between the regular, mid and wide? What does one do that the other doesn't?
Baller jedgell Posted April 3, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted April 3, 2011 Scott, what are the advantages to the Mid? At 36 I average a few at '32 off, run '32 occasionally. The 34 mph ski won't be a problem @36? I won't be getting a Nano because it doesn't have inserts and the price is too high.
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted April 5, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 5, 2011 Having owned and skied all three, my choice is the Mid. The simple reason is it has the speed of the Reg. 9900, with the turning capability of the Wide. It is simply the best of both worlds........ED
Baller jedgell Posted April 5, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted April 5, 2011 Thanks for the info, going to have to try the Mid. Probably be a while, we're having a terrible Spring here, still feels like winter.
