Baller 9400 Posted April 6, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 6, 2011 Does anyone think that 41 at 34mph will be run in a R tournament this year?
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted April 6, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 6, 2011 Yes, on a Nano with a Ventral Wing !!!!!
Old MS Accout
It will not happen. I think you need to ski 58K to have it happen.
Baller MAD11 Posted April 6, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 6, 2011 Interesting? Drew R. has hardly even ridden his ski lately and ran a 2 and 2 1/4 in an L last weekend @ 41. If he skis 34 and actually practices could go down easy.
Baller jdarwin Posted April 6, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 6, 2011 There will be several skiers at my June record that are capable. Chad Scott, Dave Miller, Ward, Kuykendall, Drozd, Chad Baker, Jay Leach, etc. I'm thinking it will go down. Parrish will be trying to get to 3 ball at 43 as well. Horton will be on site to document if something exciting occurs.
KB
Andy did it years ago at Trophy in a class C. 1 or 2 at 43. I know Andy is Andy, but we all saw Miller get to 4 ball. Badal got 5 last year. It was a C tournament, but record course and driver. Other than Andy proving it, once we started seeing something like 10 guys get to 3 ball or deeper at different sights/conditions/drivers its hard to say its not possible. Whether its one of the current MM guys, or some of the Open guys considering the transition, its going to happen. I just hope it happens in a legit tournament (ideally record) because if not there will be so much doubt and criticism. KB
Baller 9400 Posted April 6, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted April 6, 2011 I know Andy did it in a C, I drove one of the rounds (2 at 43) Dana Reed drove the next round (4 at 43). It was Perfect Pass and also an accufloat "type" course that was not RC. I know eventually it will get run in an RC tournament....I'm just wondering if this is the year. Cypresskier
After pulling Chad Scott to 5 @ 39.5 twice at 35 mph on the weekend he got the Nano, I am thinking 41 goes down this year.
Baller skidawg Posted April 6, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 6, 2011 It should go down this year, hopefully on an Elite :-)
Baller 9400 Posted April 6, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted April 6, 2011 skidawg, do you ever run it in practice? That video of you running 3 (I think it was) has a good looking pace to it from what I remember.
Baller skidawg Posted April 6, 2011 Baller Share Posted April 6, 2011 I have got to 4 and 5 quite regular at JD's in practice! Unfortunately I don't have access to daily shortline boat driving.
